Beautiful initiative this week. Sometimes you get used to using Pixabay but this is not right. I find myself sometimes not having used a single image from our beautiful and vast library.
Luckily we have the staff to remind us of the importance of valuing the contributions of our community. There's plenty to choose from to squeeze our minds playing with images in this, LMAC's regular activity which you can find here.
Hermosa iniciativa la de esta semana. A veces uno se acostumbra a usar Pixabay pero esto no está bien. Yo mismo a veces me encuentro sin haber utilizado ni una sola imagen de nuestra hermosa y vasta librería.
Por suerte tenemos al staff que nos recuerda la importancia de valorar los aportes de nuestra comunidad. Hay mucho para elegir para exprimir nuestras mentes jugando con imágenes en ésta, la actividad semanal de LMAC que pueden encontrar aquí.
This week's image for me was challenging, I usually cut pieces of the scene and modify them separately. This time it was difficult to separate the scene, so I just melted objects into the canvas. I am very happy with the final result. I think that even though it was simple, it's not necessarily a bad thing. In this case, for example, I think it was extremely harmonious and pleasing to the eye, as if it were a real photo.
La imágen de esta semana para mi fue desafiante, suelo cortar piezas de la escena y modificarlas separadamente. Esta vez era difícil separar la escena así que me dediqué a fundir objetos dentro del lienzo. Estoy muy conforme con el resultado final. Creo que si bien quedó simple, no es necesariamente algo malo. En este caso por ejemplo creo que quedó sumamente armonioso y agradable a la vista, como si fuera una foto real.
I found a beautiful river. I was looking for something just like that, with depth and perspective. I was lucky! The image was perfect so I got to work. I cropped the river so that only its edges and some details remain to add depth. I had to crop a tree to keep that perspective and make the image more interesting. I'm very happy with the final result.
Encontré un bello río. Buscaba justamente algo así, con profundidad y perspectiva. Tuve suerte! La imagen era perfecta así que me puse manos a la obra. Recorte el río para que sólo queden sus bordes y algunos detalles que le agregan profundidad. Tuve que cortar un árbol para mantener esa perspectiva y hacer la imagen más interesante. Estoy muy conforme con el resultado final.
Then I modified a nice reindeer that I got at the bookstore. I always play with them and this is no exception, I think it's a majestic animal and with some modifications it's even more so.
I placed it in the scene and I feel it blends in beautifully.
Luego modifique un simpático reno que conseguí en la librería. Siempre juego con ellos y esta no es la excepción, creo que es un animal majestuoso y con algunas modificaciones lo es aún más.
Lo coloque en la escena y siento que se mezcla maravillosamente.
Then the canvas was very empty, to the point that I was a little afraid of how to fill it in. I had seen a somewhat strange lamp some time ago, which looked to me like an object from a fantasy story. So after cutting it out, I left it floating like a firefly. Then I cloned it and stuck more of it behind the scene. To the main one I added one of my signature snails.
Luego el lienzo estaba muy vacío, al punto de que me asustaba un poco el cómo rellenarlo. Había visto hace un tiempo una lámpara algo extraña, que se me hacía como un objeto de un cuento de fantasía. Así que luego de cortarla, la deje flotando como si fuera una luciérnaga. Luego la cloné y fui pegando mas detrás de la escena. A la principal le agregue uno de mis caracoles característicos.
The sky was a bit forlorn, it needed an intervention. A ship? A plane? Some effect? Why not a moon? A moon it is! But not just any moon, let's modify it to give it a Sci Fi touch with a touch of steampunk. I'll make some rings, celestial, with glow.
I'm very happy with this week's design. I want to thank as always to the LMAC Staff that makes us feel so good every week with their proposal.
El cielo estaba algo desamparado, necesitaba una intervención. ¿Una nave? ¿Un avión? ¿Algún efecto? ¿Por qué no una luna? Una luna será! Pero no una luna cualquiera, vamos a modificarla para darle un toque Sci Fi con un toque de steampunk. Le hago unos anillos, celestes, con resplandor.
Estoy muy conforme con el diseño de esta semana. Quiero agradecerle como siempre al Staff de LMAC que tan bien nos hace sentir todas las semanas con su propuesta.

And so you should be. This is beautiful. I really like the way you modified each of the elements so that it fit into your vision. Sometimes, being forced to do something different works our really well.

Me too! Playing around with images is new for me (started with LMAC a few years ago). This is quite liberating.
