Having a Productive Day as an Entrepreneur

in Project HOPE4 years ago

If there is one thing every entrepreneur seeks to get the more, that would be ‘’more time’’ every entrepreneur especially the small scale entrepreneurs always seek more time to effectively finish up what they set up for their business. There are guidelines to help every entrepreneur succeed and these guides help to create more time in a day, when I say creating more time I do not mean time will get elongated for your sake but it will help you achieve more things during the day.

Guidelines to Help Create More Time Every day.

Get a plan and review it constantly: Setting a daily task and reviewing it will help you have a more productive day than just running the day without a plan. Have a quiet hour to help you review your plan, reflect on the things you want to accomplish, review your accomplishments and focus more on what you have undone.

No matter how busy you get every day, there is certainly going to be a spare minute and you have to use those spare minutes efficiently. Some of the spare minutes may be those minutes you spend queuing up in the bank and awaiting your turn, waiting at the doctor’s office, you could use those spare minutes to quickly read up on an article, do a quick brainstorming as well as solve a business problem.

You could as well turn your driving period into a learning period, while you drive around, you could listen to motivational or educational tapes, so rather than just spend those periods on the rod, you effectively turn them into a period to learn.

One basic thing that constantly wear people out is that, they always try to do everything by themselves, and I get the point that sometimes, you might seem to be the perfect person for the job but on other occasions you need to consider your health and just believe in some other person’s ability to help you carry out the task effectively. While you delegate certain tasks, you will have more time to effectively carry out other task.

The habit of procrastination happens to be a time waster, always bear it in mind, that pushing that task until later will never make the task go away, which makes it really important to carry out the task as soon as possible. As much as you try to get things done, remember not to rush through the task, whenever you rush through a task, the outcome might not be really pleasing.

Everyone has those periods in the day when they are basically active the more, we have people who are more active in the morning, others in the noon and we also have people who are basically more active after dinner. Your most difficult task should be placed during the times when you are active the more, this way you will experience a more productive day.

Hi @ireti

This is really good advice. It is so easy to waste time and procrastinate. I spend my time on the train to work (or at least I used to before our new life in lockdown), which is a 45 min journey, reading books to deepen my knowledge. I find it a useful time to develop myself although I am always surprised by how many people waste their time on the same train journey.

We all need to feed our productivity which is the essence of effectiveness that I covered in my posts on the #sevenhabits

Thanks for sharing. Stay safe.
