What does bull stage and bear stage mean in finance?

in Project HOPE3 years ago

Hello everyone on this platform, I hope you are having a productive day. Today I want to talk about two terms that are frequently used in the financial world, and even when it comes to cryptocurrencies it is still in permanent use, but, there are those who even having some months in this crypto world don't know its meaning.

Particularly I continue growing and learning day by day, and that is something that pleases me, daily I can know something new, you also, the only fact of reading some publications in this platform is a wonderful way of obtaining condensed and updated knowledge (generally) of all the cryptographic happening.

It is well known the use of words like whales, dolphins, oca, and other animals to refer to the different users that according to their voting power (to talk about this platform) we can say that they generate a big or small benefit when voting. But this terminology can also be seen in any other area of the cryptos world, for example in exchange houses to refer to those users who handle large volumes of capital.

However, that is not specifically what I want to talk about, in this opportunity I want to mention two words that are usually used, and have opposite connotations, these are BULL" and "BEAR"...

Let's start talking about BULL...

Nowadays there is a lot of interest around the Bitcoin, the mother currency, and many people are talking about a "Bull run* coming up... yes, as you read it, it is not that literally bulls will come out to run through the streets as if it were a bullfighting festival, NO, but if you make a very interesting analogy in relation to the strength of that animal.

When that phrase is mentioned, it means that the market is in a bullish moment, very good to obtain dividends, and that those who invest will have great opportunities to win, it is expected that the price will rise even more. Of course, at this moment I am referring to the crypto environment, however it is applicable in any area of finance, which enjoys those particular characteristics of generating good dividends.

I explained? I hope so, it's really easy to understand. Now, the other thing I mentioned was BEAR, well, in this case it's the opposite of the previous thing. We can make the analogy by saying that the bears after eating sit or lie down in their caves to winter, a process that can last months, where they will lose a great part of their body weight.

The same thing happens when a market is in BEAR period, it means that it will be at rest or down, and that the best thing is to withdraw the capital, to avoid losses...

I wanted to share these two words that are frequently used, and knowing them can make life and our development easier in this crypto environment, doesn't you think?.

Thank you very much for reading me, any doubt or suggestion I will gladly read it in the comments.

It’s interesting to see these terms rooted in animals. I guess I never really thought about it too much. Thanks for stirring up a topic for me.

Actually there are many things that we tend not to think about. But, all days are good for learning. Thank you for commenting.

Greetings friend @josevas217, when it comes to specific areas, never this other, know your terminology, and in our case is conducive to take over these terms of the cryptographic world. Thank you for this valuable and educational entry.

Thank you for your comment.
It never hurts to learn something.
And being in the crypto world there will always be new things to learn.

Greetings @josevas217, no doubt are the analogies with animals apparently allow us to understand in detail the operation of digital markets where trading is involved.

Yes, it is an easy way to visualize what is intended from the analogy. I have always found it a good way to visualize.

Thank a lot for support.

The question is why bear used for downfall and bull for uprising.
Bull has a lot of stamina and can go up towards hillside but it goes very slowly but passionately. On the other side Bears to catch their prey comes down the hill very fast so prices can decline immediately. I hope it's the idea behind analogy.

Wow, this is a very good contribution, grateful for this analogy.
It makes it much easier to visualize what is intended by establishing some relationships.
Thank you very much @khan.dayyanz

Hello friend @josevas217 I think we all expected this moment, many of us have invested and the idea is to recover much more. I hope that the bitcoin reaches its maximum expression before the end of the year!
