The problem we have with global warming is no longer new to anyone, according to experts as a result of a century of industrialization, huge amounts of CO2 that were buried underground in the form of coal and oil are now found in the atmosphere in gaseous form.

Several methods have already been proposed before, apart from planting trees that seems the most obvious but that at this point is insufficient, it has been proposed to capture it directly from the air or extract it from the water of the oceans and let it capture that of the atmosphere, but none of these proposals has been made viable.
Ya se han propuesto anteriormente varios métodos, aparte de plantar árboles que parece lo más evidente pero que a estas alturas resulta insuficiente, se ha propuesto capturarlo directamente del aire o extraerlo del agua de los océanos y dejar que éste capture el de la atmósfera, pero ninguna de estas propuestas ha conseguido ser viable.

In order to win the 100 million prize, the team must present a prototype capable of capturing at least 1,000 tons of CO2 per year, they must also present a cost budget for capturing megatons (10 ^ 6) / year and a plan to achieve gigatons (10 ^ 9) / year in a sustainable way in the future.
