On October 19, 2017, the Pan-STARRS telescope system of the University of Hawaii detected what would be the first interstellar object to visit us since data is available, this interstellar object was called Oumuamua, which is a Hawaiian term that It comes to mean "First distant messenger".

In reality, what was detected was a tiny moving point in the sky that was initially classified as a comet or an asteroid but, after a more in-depth study of its trajectory and speed, it was concluded that it was an interstellar object not subject to the gravity of the Sun.

The object only lingered in our visible sky for so long to disappear as quickly as it came and possibly forever. This whole phenomenon was very popular for a few months but later, as with all the news, this was forgotten and only Oumuamua was talked about in scientific circles.

I agree on one point, I don't think humans are the only intelligent beings in the universe, having so many galaxies I see very difficult that there are not other beings somewhere in the universe.
But, I can't confirm it, I haven't seen any aliens around these parts.
