So I got talking with some great minds few days ago and the topic or argument was about the rich people not attending events they are being invited to and most times, they send representatives to grace occasions for them and also give some money for support. Is this true and why?
Well, first of all, to me, I realized it's true because I have attended so many events and trust me, most of the dignitaries that were invited and many people are looking forward to meeting don't always attend, instead, they send representatives to grace the occasion with an envelope of money or cheque.
Now I stand to be corrected and I'm open to adjustment but really, the reason why I think this is so is because the rich and wealthy ones see such events as low to their standard and they are so rich that they think they need no one at that event to connect with make more money. As you know, the rich always strife to be richer. So such events to hem is like the organizers doesn't need their presence but their money which is 90% correct in most situations.
Sometimes, people think it's pride or arrogance but no, it's enough honour to them asking someone to replace with some money at hand which is little compared to what they have and worth. The rich would rather prefer to attend some business meeting, dinner party, or even just an outing with few persons so far the outcome of such meeting will be positive and more money will be made from the meeting.
As growing people still trying to make ends meet, let's note that it's good to invest in things and in people and it's also good to invest your time and money. But make sure you are investing your time in reasonable things. You don't have to be everywhere. When you make it big, people will seek for you. So keep your head straight and know what you are doing. Remember, time waits for no man and time is money.

Well, they attend events of family and kin no matter the financial level.
As a poor person is not every event a person would be able to attend too.
Most times, the reason you've given and a plethora of other personal reasons could make any one unavailable for such events

Hello friend, our time is golden so it must be appreciated and valued. I believe that it is one of the most important things that we have in our lives, and if we don't take advantage of it we will not be able to recover it, because the time lost is no longer useful. Money is also important, thanks to it we can cover our needs, but as they say, it is not everything in life. Greetings!

I really don't agree with your approach at all.
I'm sure most millionaires would rather go to business meetings than to a charity event.
But I don't think it's because they think, at least not most, that that activity or the people who will attend it will not be up to them.
I think they set priorities based on their business, not on socialization as such.
You are repeating what I said in your own words. We are saying the same thing bruv.
Time is perhaps the only commodity in this world that cannot be bought with money...

There are some people who seek only recognition, as there are others who to do good do not need to expose themselves and show their help. They may have a lot of money, however, any work they do from the heart will be multiplied. Greetings
