Brief analysis of the situation in Venezuela

For those who do not know, I am Venezuelan and the country is currently suffering a crisis for around 20 years that has made it very difficult for us to overcome. The situation constantly becomes more and more tragic.

And while I don't really like politics and I'm not an economics specialist either, I want to leave my appreciation of the latest developments below.
If the IMF(International monetary fund) did not give Maduro the credit, people ask how he is going to pay salaries, rent and condos, etc. for 6 months (from March to August 2020)?

  • [ ] It is simple: he is talking that he will do it in BsS, so the BCV will again issue huge amounts of cash, giving way to more inflation, and a worse devaluation.
So before this surely the best thing to protect yourself is to acquire currency because what comes in these next 6 months will surely be looting, hatred, death and destruction.

Quite worrying.

Needless to say, tenants are going to start dispensing with their tenants' lease and are not going to wait for the government to pay them.

On the other hand, companies can take several paths:

  • They do not accept to pay wages because they do not produce and are expropriated by the government.

  • They agree to pay wages as far as they can and then declare bankruptcy and end up expropriated.

  • They pay their salaries and end up bankrupt, leading them to bankruptcy because they have no production.

As you can see the panorama in any scenario is disastrous.

So I have some questions for you:

  • What do you think about this?

  • In what way can you help Venezuela or Venezuelans?

Share with us your opinion and ...

May Goku be with us. 😱

¡See you on my next post!

Hi my friend,
The situation in your country seems to get worse and worse. With crumbling petrol prices and corona virus there are simply no currencies getting into the country and by printing new bolivares the inflation will just accelerate.

At the moment the whole world is in turmoil and people even in well developed countries fear for their income. Because of the virus companies can't produce normally because their supply chain is interrupted, they can't sell as normal because shops are closed. People loose their jobs and the demand for the products goes down even more.

In this situation, in Venezuela and in the rest of the world, we need economical solutions that escape the concept of buying and selling. I believe that the crypto world can be an answer to that.

Best regards,
Achim

Dear @reinaldoverdu

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this particular topic. Situation in Venezuela and lives of so many Venezuelans is something that I found quite close to my heart.

So before this surely the best thing to protect yourself is to acquire currency because what comes in these next 6 months will surely be looting, hatred, death and destruction.

Indeed. Very worrying.

enjoy your weekend,
Yours, Piotr

Hi @reinaldoverdu

It is a very difficult situation in Venezuela. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Stay safe!

Hello dear @reinaldoverdu.

For those of us here, those of us who decided to stay in Venezuela, we all know that we have a daily struggle for subsistence. This is a very depressing and prolonged situation.

Fortunately for some of us, crypto has become an escape valve, a real help in these difficult times.

In my case Projetc HOPE has helped me a lot in these difficult times, logically we know that many Venezuelans do not have this privilege, however, those of us here must try to "touch" our environment with cryptography, steem, Hive and help a little in the situation.

I know this does not mean much, but it would be our contribution, our grain of sand as we say here, or as a good friend says our two cents.

Above all, a lot of faith!

All the scenarios that I can see are going to disaster, I have no idea how the economy of Venezuela will survive after the pandemic, in a way it reminds me of how the economic situation of the republic was after the war of independence or how they were the national coffers after the XIX century that was of "montoneras" and military uprisings of all kinds.
