I just finished a 8.0km hiking that lasted about 2hh:21mm:23ss !
I haven't come up here in ages, so I thought I'd do a series on the many different tracks to get to this location. This first one is the easiest. Bottom of Wainui hill, up the summit via a shared path, then along the ridge line reaching Towai Tower.
This is my least favorite route because of the shared path being close to the only road access into this suburb. Hiking beside traffic just doesn't seem right.

I like the readout on the app you are using. Is this all connected to a watch or is it something more advanced than that?
It is indeed, the watch monitors your heart rate, also gives verbal/visual progress rate every 1km. The Samsung Galaxy A10 mobile phone does all the GPS tracking, grabs data from the watch then conpiles those stats seen in the images.
Note: You have to install a Huawei App onto the Samsung phone to make it work (the watch is a Huawei Band 6)
Note2: The Watches battery lasts well over 12 days.
all of that sounds pretty great. In the past I have purchased "budget" watches and seriously doubted the accuracy of the heart rate monitors. I guess that is what I get for buying budget bullcrap though.
