Sunny 10k

in EXHAUST4 years ago (edited)

I just finished a 10.23km running that lasted about 0hh:53mm:1ss !

Too hot for the usual Tuesday speed session so I opted for a 10k trail run with my faithful hound. Kept the pace really nice & steady. Made sure I went by a few dykes & ponds so he could cool off & I could have a breather. Ran with my headphones in for the first time in weeks. They made my ears hurt! It’s like I’ve unadapted to wearing them!
Normally I shy away from running when it’s warm but I read an interesting article on how quickly your body adapts & it actually gives you an edge for when autumn comes & it’s cooler again. So I’m going out in the sun always!

You have uploaded 69 running activities, and 18 of them have been of similar distances (within 10 percent)!
Here are your 5-fastest running activities of a similar distance:

Over these 18 similar activities, you have travelled approximately 184.23 kms at an average pace of roughly 5:02 min/km!
Your latest run was at a pace of approximately 5.182min/km!
Looks like you went a bit slower this time! Remember that it's important to take some rest days, and do some rehab / prehab / strength and conditioning training too! If you weren't intending to go slower, take a moment to listen to your body, and see if you need something. Check in with yourself!

...and enjoy a good recovery !BEER .

You need to stake more BEER (24 staked BEER allows you to call BEER one time per day)

Congrats to both of you.

Yes, it's good to train under the sun. You adapt better and fly when the conditions are more favorable.

I hope so, it's so much harder. I've always wondered how people in hotter countries manage it. We must adjust at some point. Fortunately in England it's not hot for long!
