I just finished a 21.243km running that lasted about 1hh:53mm:11ss !
Steady half mara for Saturday morning. Really enjoyed this! The kids have colds, which i’ve ended up with, so I was half expecting to really struggle and have to call it quits after 5 miles. Much to my surprise I kept the pace steady and felt fine. Stopped half way to get a bottle of Lucozade from a village shop and that was all I needed to get round. 5 hours later and i’m still feeling ok so this was a successful run all in all!
It was a nice change to run alone, put my headphones in and completely zone out. I was short on time so I chose a road route close to home. Felt good to run a longer route on tarmac again but obviously not as scenic as trail running up epic hills!
Still got a niggly IT band but it didn’t bother me until after 10-11 miles so hopefully it’s stretching out again. Might still book in to see a physio next week and get it blasted with a bit of shockwave…

Nice one. We runners get to know how far local routes will take us. I am thinking of a half for next weekend as my race got cancelled. I may do a fairly long one tomorrow to prepare for it, but it may be wet.
