I just finished a 13.877km running that lasted about 1hh:20mm:56ss !

Saturday has been my day for speed work but even in lock down I've been doing my best to keep this tradition and it has shown me that my treadmill running was probably not as tough as I thought it was.

I've been running around a grass track that is on my block, close to where I live and it has exposed some of my previous misconceptions of me thinking that I was pushing hard with my usual gym based speed work. I am trying to build up to 8 x 800m repeats on my Saturday speed work after a nice 40 minute warm up run around my neighborhood.

This week seemed to be a lot better than my first attempt as I was only able to get to four 800m repeats, but this week I struggled but got through to 6 repeats.

Next week, I will attempt the full 8.

Stay Strong Everyone!

You have uploaded 249 running activities, and 7 of them have been of similar distances (within 10 percent)!
Here are your 5-fastest running activities of a similar distance:

Over these 7 similar activities, you have travelled approximately 98.57 kms at an average pace of roughly 5:42 min/km!
Your latest run was at a pace of approximately 5.832min/km!
Looks like you went a bit slower this time! Remember that it's important to take some rest days, and do some rehab / prehab / strength and conditioning training too! If you weren't intending to go slower, take a moment to listen to your body, and see if you need something. Check in with yourself!
