Description from Strava:
I started watching the new series of The Witcher last night. We have a new lead actor to get used to and opinions will vary on that. I have enough issues remembering who everyone is as there are lots of threads to the plot. I just like a bit of fantasy. This one is due to end with the next season, but there may be more spin-offs. I have not read the books, but my son has some.

There were a lot of fireworks last night as it was Guy Fawke's night where we celebrate an attempt to blow up the government a few hundred years ago. I think most countries find some excuse for fireworks.

There was some rain predicted for today, but it was dry and mild on my run. For a change I just ran to the far end of the village. That is a fairly flat route, but my legs were feeling a little tired. I ran as far as the 'new' cemetery (actually a few years old, but other one by the church is ancient) and did a circuit around the graves before turning back. I explored the side roads to extend the distance and I think I found a new path that joins some of them up. There are some newish developments that I may not have fully explored before, but I have run on most paths in the village.

As I managed a PR (personal record) yesterday without trying I thought I would try to improve on that, so I managed to beat it. That was the only really fast (for me) part of the run, but it is good to get my legs moving quicker.

Tomorrow will be a rest day and I should be at parkrun on Saturday. I may still do a walk tomorrow for the company Move-ember challenge.

Run free!

Oh really? Did the new season of Witcher drop? I hadn't realized that. I have kind of been out of the loop on streaming stuff lately. My wife and I have been watching Bosch on Amazon Prime and when we aren't doing that we are watching sports.

I barely keep up with things I want to watch. I'd seen a few articles about Liam Hemsworth taking over the role with various opinions. It's a show I watch alone. We don't watch much sport generally, but there are a few things we watch together. I want to watch the new Fantastic 4 soon.

I'll have to get it added to my list. I am still trying to work my way through Andor season 2!

I did finish Andor and they can't really do any more of that. We've nearly finished the latest Only Murders In The Building. I don't know if you can get it, but the BBC show Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue was fun. I've heard that Slow Horses is good, so we may try that.

I just saw the other day that Only Murders has a new season, so we will probably get around to that eventually too. So much stuff to watch and so little time. We just fit it in where we can.

I had the Witcher as suggested series on the streaming site, is it a good one? I never played the game but people say it's good

I've not played the games either. It's got some similarities to Game of Thrones with more monsters and magic. I've enjoyed it so far.

Passing by a cemetery makes me feel strange, and put me in deep thoughts.

There's nobody I know in there and we all end up there eventually. I wasn't contemplating my mortality today.
