Hello everyone, being a female is no death sentence and the fearful state all ladies in my country Nigeria must be right now is overwhelming. May God help us.
It saddens me to write on issues like this due to the emotional draining I suffer from it but it's a little price to pay for trying to correct a skewed mentality. I actually feel the pain of the females who are been violated and this moves me to tears always.
When does it end really, the killings and violence around the world at this period is so uncalled for. Despite facing huge challenges at the moment due to the pandemic, some men still choose to be unfortunate and harm innocent ladies.
The issue of rape has never been properly addressed in Nigeria, and this has resulted in countless rape cases against ladies and the agony that comes from that experience keeps the ladies in a fearful state for life.
The recent occurrence of rape in Nigeria in which as of this moment, three have managed to surface the net. Out of the three victims of rape, 2 was killed after being raped and the other victim is currently traumatized.
Left to me, the punishment for rape should be the death of the offenders because most victims never recover from it. Most becomes traumatised for life rendering their life useless and not being able to move on, some even choose suicide so as to end the pain and Shame.
We want justices for these ladies and better strict measures against rape. Anyone with a thought of rape should be killed and publicized to discourage others.
My profound prayers are that all victims of rape will get justice and issues of rape will attract stiffer penalties. Have a lovely day
