How skilled a splinterlands player are you?

in The City of Neoxian3 years ago

This post is not about a splinterlands monster or the game basics but it is all about being able to play wisely and attain the top position in the leaderboard on splinterlands.

When I joined to play way back in December, although my account had been created long back, I was not even sure what Melee meant. I remember asking my son to play and he explained the basics to me. I was so happy that I had played well enough to reach Silver III.

As time progressed, I realized that I would need more monsters to play better and that is where Panda, the all-rounder of monster-market helped me by delegating giants like the Kraken with whose help I could use the water splinter to reach gold level.

Fast forward and now my deck is really good but the question is - Am I a good player at all?

how skilled am I in playing splinterlands?

If players in the top used my deck, they would probably enable it to reach champ level.

I had considered leasing to the Team Share group but since I love playing, I decided not to do it and try and make myself more skilled and learn more tactics.

My question is - Have you ever considered quitting the game because you felt you were not good enough?

Do you consider yourself a good player?

Share a tip and earn yourself a surprise gift - it could be a card, hive, or dec but please share only a good enough tip

I am not skilled player myself but Rules sometimes apply and different rules with different monsters. In a melee and range battle, I love using my Life or earth summoner cos earth has lots of range and life has both melee and range. So in an all rage battle earth is my best shot cos in this team i have the best card.

wow, thanks for that tip, Ife. I really needed that.

Have you ever considered quitting the game because you felt you were not good enough?

No, i never ever had this thought i will quit this game but someday perhaps just because of unending investment :P

Do you consider yourself a good player?

No, If I can't play novice then I don't think I am good enough

Pro tip: stop playing when you lose more than 3 battles. Rest, relax and then play. Because of losing you get frustrated and it causes more damage

That is a very vital tip indeed. Thanks xawi

Skillful not sure, but resourceful.

Surviving the game for last one year without even buying a card as such. (I guess, I have just handful of untamed) .

Not at all in pressure of losing investment. My deck is paid it's cost long back. so whatever I earn is gain, I do not think I will quit.

I guess keeping my deck at level 5 is one of the decision that really eased of investment pressure from me in the game and simultaneously allow me to enjoy the game.

you certainly are a strong willed person because you knew when to stop investing and were satisfied with what you have and had. Please do share a game tip also.

My very first tip on battle. (try to figure out your opponent team)

Place the cursor on opponent's last battles. you will see the team for last battle.

Since water summoner is available in battle and this user is using water summoner for last 5 battles, you already know the team beforehand that will be placed in game by your opponent. so just need to work on combo that can beat this team.

Winning and loosing is not everything. Just play the game for the sake of game. Here is my tip. @xabi
