Post your art! Get curated - What is art for you?

Hello everyone

When I first created this account, my main intention was to share my art—mostly photographs captured with an analogue camera. The original idea was simple: create images using film, and in return, use any rewards to buy more film and continue my creative journey. It’s a straightforward concept, showing that by sharing your work, you can receive small rewards that help support your passion—without worrying about additional expenses.

This isn’t about making money, as some might expect. The idea isn’t to follow the common narrative of "Post anything and make money!". To me, it’s about doing what you love and sharing it with others, just as you would on any Web2 social media platform. The rewards you earn can go towards buying the materials you need—whether it's brushes, paints, canvas, or more analogue film—and supporting your creative journey. It’s about learning from others, exchanging ideas, commenting, engaging with the community, and growing your skills.

Real artists don’t focus on money. Many understand the business side of art because, let’s be honest, it can help cover the bills. But at the heart of it, true artists don’t need much—just their art and the space to create. For me, the message is simple: money is merely a byproduct of your passion. Nothing more, nothing less. If you’ve ever felt like you could live entirely through creating art and find fulfillment in that, then you're on the right path.

But what I believe is even more important than money or recognition is the deep meditative state that comes with creating. My primary form of art is photography, but whenever I explore other mediums, I realize that nothing quite compares to the connection I feel and the sense of being a conduit for something larger than myself.

Here’s an example of my very first painting—spent half the day just playing around with it. Don’t judge me! Someone once said that art is incredibly subjective, and while I know this painting might not resonate with anyone else, the most enjoyable part for me was the deep, flowing state of creation. That’s where the real magic happens.

This random abstract ended up in a local gallery in Thailand—though, by now, it’s probably been bined.

Here's a refined version of that:

I really enjoy observing art. I’m not an expert, and I don’t get all snobby about it, but if I get the chance to see something in person, I’ll definitely stop by and take it in.

One of my recent visits included seeing several incredible paintings, and among them, Rembrandt’s unique golden, deep works, and of course, Leonardo da Vinci’s Lady with an Ermine

This is my first post in this new community, and I’m excited not only to share my own work but also to see more from all of you. It’s not just about creating art; it’s about experiencing it too. I’d love to read posts about gallery visits, thoughts on art, or anything else related to the world of art.

It would be great to build both on-chain and off-chain initiatives with the support of @youngartfair. Our goal is to bring people on-chain while also connecting those off-chain to this amazing space.

Are you in?

Here are some pictures of the incredible and surreal work by Hans Ruedi Giger, taken during my visit to the unique location in Gruyères, Switzerland—a village that’s home to some of the most captivating art in this genre.
