Poznań was a blast.
A genuinely strong first edition in a beautiful city.
Attendance was among the better ones this year, the space was intimate and right in the city center, and the artist selection came together really well. Spending the pre-holiday weekend in a new city like this felt surprisingly calm and rewarding.
The week before New Year’s can be a moment when most people have already bought their gifts, rather than actively looking to spend money. Surprisingly, this didn’t really make a difference. Financially speaking - artists were happy :)
For us, Poznań was the furthest YAF trip from our Kraków base. Logistics are never light — we travel with nearly half a ton of chairs, tables, and exhibition grids that have to live somewhere in between events. Definitely not something you just throw into a rental van and forget about. Still, worth it.
The Pawilon, where we hosted YAF Poznań, turned out to be an easy and flexible partner. It’s a multifunctional space, not overly demanding, and the possibility to drive a car directly inside the building made setup and teardown exceptionally smooth — a rare luxury.
Unfortunately, due to the Pawilon’s internal schedule, we won’t be able to secure dates there that work for us in spring 2026. But the good news is: a new venue and a new term are already locked in.

If things go according to plan, it should be twice as productive as 2025 — with 16 editions planned across Poland’s biggest cities, at least twice over.
