It's time for another great adventure! This time La Zorra Roja is going to take me to Mexico, down one of the most beautiful stretches of landscape, the Baja California.

After long and careful preparation, and a beautiful evening enjoying delicious lasagna, my friend drove me down to the border, where my last tour ended seven years ago.

I had to take off the pannier racks and a wheel so it would fit into the car, which meant I had to put everything back on, right there at the border crossing.

In the end it was all good, and I crossed without a problem. After a brief stay at a hotel in Tecate, I am ready to ride. My bike is fully packed, and heavier than ever. - I still need to step on a scale with it, as I am curious about the actual weight. At least I can still lift it, which is important!

My next destination is Ensenada, more than 100 km away. But my host is expecting me, so I really want to make it in one day.
I’m curious to know how much it weighs. Have a good trip! We’ll be keeping an eye from here.
I know, same curiosity here... But I make it a point to find out soon.
That's a lot of gear, poor vintage bike! 😆 have fun and stay safe!
Indeed, it's way more gear than what I had last time. But the Red Fox is an incredible beast of burden.
Oh, that sounds like it'll be a lovely bike ride... quite loaded though, I hope a nice cold beer is waiting for you 😀 Enjoy your ride
