War and peace, another saga in the on going battle between good versus evil. Ironically though, war which is classified to be (evil) created in the process of pursuing peace (good). The world today believes that peace is freedom, the freedom to live, and in harmony between all. Certain people do not agree with this though, but they believe the "good" must go in and conquer the "evil" in order to create oneness. In other words, there must be war in other to achieve peace or freedom.

Everyone aim is to find a lasting solution to the problems that plague our planet but so far, peace on earth has continued to be an elusive dream and we strive everyday to maintain this goal. There are many world movements, organizations, conferences, groups and communities all over the world that promotes the idea of world peace. Even different Philosophers, theologians, politicians, and other great thinkers from the past up to this present day have offered to us many formulas and "great" ideas to achieving PEACE. But not anyone has yet come up with a good functioning model that will better the worlds issues, because everyone wants to be outstanding with his/her ideas, every person with their doctrines and beliefs to what they take peace to be. There will always be a search for peace, and until every society learns to work together, there will always be war over territory, supremacy, and individuals ideology.

There is a great value of peace, and it is the path we take that can bring about growth and prosperity in society. If we do not have peace, achieving political strength, economic stability and cultural growth will be impossible. Moreover, before we share the notion of peace to others, it is important for us to possess peace within ourselves. It is not a certain individual’s responsibility to maintain peace in our society, but everyone’s duty.

History has made it clear by showing proof that the thousands of war which took place in all it periods at different levels between nations, we learned that peace played an important role in ending these wars and even preventing some. But still, we ignore to learn from these mistakes and seek war. And after the thousands of destruction that comes with the wars, that’s when we realized the importance of peace. When peace is maintained, things will run smoothly without any delay. In other words, while war destroys and disrupts, peace builds, strengthens, as well as restores.

Why is world peace so difficult to achieve, and what have we done to make the world a better place to live in? How have we treated our neighbours, colleagues and people around? If we look into these questions, we’d discover that the true nature of peace has to start within us. Peace is far more than just the absence of war, if everyone in the world is peaceful with one another, this would be a peaceful world.

I’ll be promoting @lizelle post on the topic one word can change the world

The lasting change would be peace and harmony among people, a clean and beautiful world where humans, as well as animals, can thrive and live healthy and happier lives.

In conclusion, It is obvious that we will keep facing crises on many levels if we do not choose to work in peace accordingly and it is the only way we can manage these crises better. Peace is the vital key for humankind to survive and strive for a better future and has always been among humanity's highest values.
