RE: Why can't you take a break from your computer or your phone?

I can't agree more.

Lately this is much more evident to so many people. And yes - that little excursion from those apps yesterday... hahahaa

I was talking to @zellypearl and @doziekash on her post - we were talking about the things we did while the internet was down.

sometimes we really need to be pushed off the devices in order to regain our center. I don't think that devices are bad - or apps - or internet. On the contrary, they have filled my life with so many riches (all the people I've met) that i would never have been able to at all - without the internet. And learning about cultures and places - not from the news - or from movies - but from COMMUNITIES that tell me in their own words.. i love this!

but...

we MUST have that balance. and if we don't get it - we will suffer terribly. it's so important to have those getaways and those times apart from the outside chaos.

This has been on my mind so much lately. so so very much.

and I think it really has been on so many people's hearts and minds. I think its because we are all sensing the damage that has been done - and feeling the need to reverse it before its too late.

and it's not too late.
we just need to begin reversing it now.

love this post, my sweet~!

The truth is that I was really astonished how the world kind of stood still for those few hours of the so called maintenance - I have a feeling that it was not just maintenance that caused the bridge. Come to think of it, hasn't Mr mark been maintaining his apps all these while, and we have never heard of a shut down due to maintenance.

Well this Tia m tells us how deeply addicted we have become of our online world. If you have ever had a chat with someone addicted to a hard drug, you will realize that when this is taken away from them, even for few hours, they feel that their world is over.

Like my beloved captain @dreemsteem rightly said, it's not totally bad having a life online, but then there should be a balance. You should have alternatives if your online world is taken away from you.

Lol. We had the same discussion with my friend yesterday in school as well.
We imagined a world without the internet generally.
How sucking that would be if we are suddenly left without the internet for a generation that has already experienced using the internet.
All the same, there should really be a balance to everything just like you said.
