¡Saludos #HIVESICIANS! Nos complace anunciar nuestro aporte a la comunidad musical a nivel de concursos y dinámicas; como sabemos ya existen algunas que aportan muchísimas cosas positivas a nuestra comunidad como el HIVE OPEN MIC de @cabelindsay o el HIVE MUSIC FESTIVAL de @edwardstobia.
Sin embargo, quisimos crear una iniciativa enfocada solo en músicos instrumentistas, es decir, que toquen algún instrumento (sin importar si también saben cantar), esto incluye a los productores musicales y Dj's.
Y así, luego de una meditación exhaustiva, se nos ocurrió la idea de crear la iniciativa Let's Jam!
Hello #HIVESICIANS! We are pleased to announce our contribution to the music community at the level of contests and dynamics; as we know there are already some of it that bring a lot of positive things to our community like the HIVE OPEN MIC by @cabelindsay or the HIVE MUSIC FESTIVAL by @edwardstobia.
However, we wanted to create an initiative focused only on instrumental musicians or those who play an instrument (regardless of whether they can also sing), this includes the music producers and DJ'ss.
And so, after an exhaustive meditation, we came up with the idea of creating the initiative Let's Jam!.
La dinámica | The dynamics
Como lo leen en la imagen de arriba: Un tema, una canción, simple.
Es decir, nosotros les vamos a dar una temática, un género o un artista y ustedes deben hacer un cover (o una canción original en caso de que les coloquemos un género musical o temática) para participar, podrán utilizar todos los instrumentos que quieran, dejen volar la imaginación.
Buscamos:
- Manejo del tiempo
- Dominio del instrumento
- Creatividad
- Interpretación.
La temática de esta semana es LIBRE, por ser la semana de lanzamiento.
As you can read in the image above: A theme, a song, simple.
So we're going to give you a theme, a genre or an artist and you must make a cover (or an original song in case we put a musical genre or theme) to participate, you can use all the instruments you want, let your imagination fly.
We look:
- Time management
- Mastery of the instrument
- Creativity
- Interpretation.
The theme of this week is FREE, as it's the launch week.
Las reglas | The rules
Como toda iniciativa, deben existir reglas para que podamos cumplir con el objetivo de la misma el cuál es poder conglomerar a todos los artistas y otorgarles visibilidad.
Entonces acá les dejamos las reglas:
Solo se permite UNA entrada por persona.
Debes mencionar en tu vídeo el nombre de la iniciativa, tu nombre de usuario y la semana actual, por ejemplo: LET'S JAM! Semana 1, yo soy @ilazramusic y esta es mi participación.
El formato de título del post será el siguiente: LET'S JAM! | Semana (Week) 1 | (Nombre de la canción)
Aceptaremos vídeos de YOUTUBE solo en esta primera semana, luego de forma obligatoria tendrán que utilizar una DApp de #hive (como @threespeak o @dtube) para subir sus vídeos.
Deben postear su participación en la Comunidad HIVESICIANS para que sea tomado como entrada VÁLIDA.
Deben compartir sus participaciones en TWITTER con los hashtag #hive y #hivesicians, luego dejar el enlace a su Tweet en los comentarios de este post junto con el enlace de tu participación.
La iniciativa cerrará los días DOMINGO de cada semana con un post de Highlight de los participantes.
Repostear y votar este post NO ES obligatorio, pero se lo agradecemos de querer hacerlo.
Like all initiatives, there must be rules so that we can meet the objective of the initiative, which is to bring together all artists and give them visibility.
So here are the rules:
Only ONE entry is allowed per person.
You have to mention within the video the initiative's name, your username and the actual week, ie: "LET'S JAM! Week 1, I'm @ilazramusic and this is my participation.
The title format of the post will be as follows: LET'S JAM! | Week 1 | (Name of the song)
We will accept videos from YOUTUBE only in this first week, then you will have to use a DApp of #hive (like @threespeak or @dtube) to upload your videos.
You must post your participation in the HIVESICIANS Community to be considered a VALID entry.
You must share your TWITTER entries with the hashtag #hive and #hivesicians, then leave the link to your Tweet in the comments of this post with you post link too.
The initiative will close on SUNDAY each week with a highlight post by the participants.
Replenishing and voting on this post is NOT mandatory, but we appreciate your willingness to do so.
Los premios | The prizes
A medida que avance la iniciativa, iremos anexando premios cada vez más grandes, porque por los momentos estaremos utilizando lo que tenemos en la Wallet de la cuenta @hivesicians, pero cada semana iremos buscando patrocinadores que nos ofrezcan un buen apoyo.
Así que los premios se van a dividir de la siguiente forma:
- Un PREMIO GENERAL donde vamos a dividir las ganancias del post de Highlight (el día de cierre de la semana en actividad) entre cada participante.
Si no se obtiene una participación mayor a 3 personas, el premio del post lo conservará el proyecto para acumular más presupuesto.
- Un PREMIO PARTICULAR para el primer, segundo y tercer lugar de la siguiente forma: 5 HIVE para el primer lugar, 3 HIVE para el segundo lugar y 1 HIVE para el tercero.
As the initiative progresses, we will be adding more and more prizes, because for the time being we will be using what we have in the Wallet of the @hivesicians account, but every week we will be looking for sponsors who will offer us good support.
So the prizes are going to be divided as follows:
- A GENERAL PRIZE where we will divide the earnings of the Highlight post (the closing day of the week in activity) between each participant.
If no more than 3 people participate, the prize of the post will be kept by the project to accumulate more budget.
- A PARTICULAR PRIZE for first, second and third place as follows 5 HIVE for the first place, 3 HIVE for the second place and 1 HIVE for the third place.

Coolness, I'm planning on participating. Quick question: Will you please explain your preference for @threespeak or @dtube, instead of YouTube? To me, I find the Threespeak platform buggy, plus frequent ads that interrupt the music. And I've encountered lots of stalls and errors with DTube. By comparison, YouTube is reliable and ad-free, in my experience—I highly prefer when participants use YouTube for Hive Open Mic for this reason. Just seeking clarity, that's all. High-five!
Hello mister @cabelindsay, well, we're trying to make people use the DApps that are build within #HIVE, just for a matter of adoption of the different platforms that we have for the creators, but you actually have a point.
Also, we guess that if people use Youtube to participate, it could be work to spread the word about the initiative and the blockchain as well.
We're going to think about it, because this feedback is what can makes us grow up!

Thanks for your clarity. Yeah, just as a followup, I used 3Speak for the first time. My first post seems to be functioning correctly, but I wish there was a way to remove ads. To me, a 30-sec ad is a lot to sit through just to view a simple homemade video.
Excelente iniciativa, ya que conozco muchos que tocan pero no cantan nada sólo si los acompaña la policía, allí si dicen todo ja ja ja.
