Hay días que deberían quedar documentados por lo agradables que pueden llegar a ser, y este fue uno de esos días. En un inicio iba a salir sola para hacer unas compras que necesitaba realizar, pero en ese ínterin una amiga muy querida me llamó para saber qué iba a hacer este día, así que le dije lo que pensaba hacer y ella me comentó que quería salir un rato y que si quería que nos encontráramos un rato para ponernos al día con nuestras vidas y yo, ni tarda ni perezosa, de una vez le dije que sí; me pareció genial aprovechar mi día de manera tan completa, ya que iba a comprar lo que necesitaba y de paso iba a ver a una de mis lindas amigas.
De modo que en primera instancia realicé mis compras y ya para cuando necesitaba hacer una merecida pausa, me encontré acertadamente con mi amiga, en un lugar de la ciudad desde donde se puede observar casi toda Caracas, pues es un restaurante que está ubicado en una bella terraza de un reconocido hotel de mi ciudad. Mi amiga no lo conocía, pero yo ya lo había visitado en anteriores oportunidades y es un sitio perfecto para conversar y para alejarse un poco del bullicio de la ciudad, pues estás en las alturas. A mi amiga le encantó en lo que llegó, pues el ambiente es muy agradable, porque tiene varios ambientes, uno al aire libre y otro más privado; cuentan también con una pequeña piscina que te relaja nada más verla.
Así es que mi amiga y yo de una vez nos pusimos cómodas y le dimos rienda suelta a todo lo que teníamos pendiente por conversar; compartimos unas cervezas bien frías, pues el calor estaba bien fuerte, y también decidimos almorzar juntas, pidiendo, luego de que se nos pasó el vaporón, una rica sopa con la cual quedamos bastante satisfechas. También aprovechamos los espacios para tomarnos varias fotografías y, en mi caso, de todo lo que llamó mi atención; nos divertimos mucho posando entre una y otra foto.
Mientras eso sucedía, podíamos ver el transitar de las personas desde las alturas; la verdad es que fue bien relajante, esa fue una de las mejores cosas que compartimos. De allí salimos muy contentas luego de compartir una tarde de amigas con todas las de la ley y, al ir bajando, nos íbamos preparando mentalmente para el corre-corre de nuestra ciudad, pero ya más animadas y con mucha más energía, prometiendo volver juntas a aquel lindo lugar. Este lugar se ubica en pleno centro de mi ciudad, en Caracas, Venezuela, y se llama Hotel Alex en su terraza. Les dejo esto por aquí para quienes quieran visitarlo si se encuentran por la zona; les aseguro que se relajarán y, como nosotras, muy seguramente querrán volver a disfrutar de sus lindas instalaciones.

There are days that should be documented because of just how pleasant they can be, and this was one of those days. At first, I was going to go out alone to run some errands I needed to take care of, but in the meantime, a very dear friend called me to ask what I was doing that day, so I told her my plans, and she said she wanted to go out for a bit and asked if I’d like to meet up for a while to catch up on our lives. Without a moment’s hesitation, I immediately said yes; I thought it was great to make the most of my day, since I was going to buy what I needed and, while I was at it, see one of my lovely friends.
So first I ran my errands, and just when I needed a well-deserved break, I happened to meet up with my friend at a spot in the city where you can see almost all of Caracas—it’s a restaurant located on a beautiful terrace of a well-known hotel in my city. My friend hadn’t been there before, but I’d visited it on previous occasions, and it’s the perfect spot to chat and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city for a bit, since you’re up high. My friend loved it as soon as she arrived—the atmosphere is very pleasant, with several different areas, including an outdoor section and a more private one; they also have a small pool that’s relaxing just to look at.
So my friend and I immediately got comfortable and let loose on everything we’d been meaning to talk about; we shared some ice-cold beers—since it was really hot—and also decided to have lunch together. Once we’d cooled off a bit, we ordered a delicious soup that left us quite satisfied. We also took advantage of the space to take several photos—and, in my case, of everything that caught my eye; we had a lot of fun posing between one photo and the next.
While that was happening, we could watch people going about their business from up high; honestly, it was really relaxing—that was one of the best things we shared. We left there feeling very happy after sharing a truly authentic afternoon with friends, and as we made our way down, we mentally prepared ourselves for the hustle and bustle of our city—but now in better spirits and with much more energy—promising to return together to that lovely place. This place is located right in the heart of my city, Caracas, Venezuela, and it’s the terrace at Hotel Alex.
