Moving, Cleaning Home Office, Settling Into New Life

Hey 👋

How's everyone around here?

These past 2 months have been such busy months for me. After landing back to Yogyakarta, I was then on the move, moving to my now home office. I was setting up and cleaning up this place I would be calling "home" for the next 2-4 years. During this time, I had no opportunity to actually open my laptop and get much things done.

I talked about moving to this place sometime last year and finally, I did it!

From time I spent in Papua, I am slowly back to the idea that "home" is where I make it to be. Will I have a permanent zip code and address? I guess at some point I will. But for now, since I am re-starting life, it's all back to ground zero.

Cleaning up the place took about a whole day. With the help of my mother and one of her staff, we set up table, chairs, fixed the fridge, adding more pots and pans to the kitchen.

What I like about the place is that it is only 10 minutes away from the train station and is located in the middle between surabaya and jakarta. So, flying in and out of the place wouldn't be that hard as we have plenty options and airport is all about 2-3 hours away from this place.

To beautify the place, we shop at the local store to get some flowers and accessories to make the home feels homey and cozy. While it is still a minimal work, I hope in the future, I could turn this into a place where it doesn't feel rigidly an office.

This new life has started about 4 months ago but to me, those were the most challenging time of my life after coming out of depression. Times were tough but I grew out of that and for the first time ever, I gained confidence to get through hard things in life.

I have a lot more backlog and now I am also opening an English coaching class. It's why I barely have the time to actually open my laptop anymore and hive. I missed out on many things I suppose. But it's good to take my mind of the state of the market. Eitherway, I am stoked of what's to come as I am slowly easing my way into more work, jobs and opportunities out there.

Ah, you are blossoming! We just like it when you pop into Hive when you get a chance. I love the green vibe of the new place - it looks like a really calm space for you to create your new home x

😄 Yeah and they have mini garden that I can cultivate. The house has a green soft vibe and baby blue. It's so cozy that makes me feel calmer when I am in the house. I'd definitely spice up a thing or two around here and makes it even cozier.

You got so buy, glad to know you finally settled there. I guess, good luck to you in your new home. Looking forward already to the things you're about to share about some good spots there 🌟💃

hehehe I need to catch up with my story from Papua, I have so many backlogs that needed to be told out there.

homey and cozy would be best to describe the place :D

It's so good you're feeling better, Mac (and it shows through in your writing). The space is gorgeous - can't take my eyes off those big windows! all that light <3 I hope this new chapter in your life is a happy and fruitful one.

😊 The big window was a plus and loved it when the morning light shines on it. I know this will be an office but I hope those who come here will feel that they're at a cozy and homey home.

First I wish you all the best for this new start the place it's very neat and I understand the stress around moving I'm moving in these months too, it's very stressful.

hehehe yeah, moving can be stressful but I am happy with it. I have more room to do things and work on projects that are new and I am passionate about.

Wow. Transferring to a new place with your own house is truly satisfying. Hope you got new friends in there to make things easier. Enjoy! 🤗

😊 I hope so. I know that I will be traveling a lot most likely but still having a good friend here and there helps.

All the best to your "new life"!
