Some of you may have noticed a few hiccups as of late. A few of our dapps at @mantequilla-soft were down today, and even our website is no more. This is not because we're making an exit, but simply a reality we can't easily change.

Working on Hive, working for Hive, is not an easy gig. Not because it isn't enjoyable—it can be—but because most of the work is voluntary. That translates into circumstances changing, people jumping ship, projects going away, and priorities shifting.
It's easy to feel let down by the movement of the tides, especially when they seem unpredictable. But it's also worth remembering that this is how it's always been: predictably unpredictable. As such, it's probably best not to set unreasonable expectations.
That said, I'm taking the opportunity not only to relaunch our apps on servers within my control, but also to upgrade and fine-tune them along the way.
Today, when https://mantecurated.3speak.tv went down, I decided not to simply relaunch it on a VPS, but also to add a few features so it can be integrated into frontends. The first client, of course, being @snapie. As of today, if you visit someone's profile on @snapie, you'll see their curator score right there and then.
It seems I'm on a mission to make snapie.io a frontend that can truly meet the needs of both new and experienced users. A frontend that can serve as a daily driver, if you will, while still remaining simple and approachable.
I should also mention that the migration for @threespeak has now been completed officially. Today, I finished building the automated encoder reports, which is how we plan to continue encouraging community participation when it comes to video encoding—a key item that had been sitting on my to-do list.
A productive day, for sure...

Claim: The decentralized applications for @mantequilla-soft and the @snapie frontend are undergoing server migrations and updates rather than being permanently shut down.

Why it matters: @meno has officially ended his work for "threeSpeaks Migration" successfully. He is a fine Dev finishing his work brilliantly. Hats off you man.

It's bad news and good news at the same time. The bad news is that some things stopped working, the good news is that the work will continue despite the difficult situation. Let's hope everything improves.

Let's hope for the best....
looking forward to run a node for 3speak in docker or VPS , my last try didn't work with ubuntu 26.04
I've seen quite a few updates to snapio.io yesterday and today and am loving them. The site is looking better and we are getting some information put front and center we used to have to go looking for. Great job and at lightning speed
The curator score is genius. And very well implemented. How do you feel about me accessing that api to add a Curation Score to a project I'm working on?

smart. sometimes its best to regroup, chill, and re-deploy..
I sincerely hope that you can continue to give your best to Hive despite the difficulties. Blessings

I really like the new UI from @snapie. It’s minimalist but includes all the necessary information.
Hiccups are a reality in software development, important thing is to push through, fix it and continue building. As a tester, I live with that on every deliverues and Production launches.
This is new to me... been offtrack on a lot of things.
We mega simplified the backend of threespeak. No more encoding gateway. Actually, that server, the one that hosted the old infra, will go offline soon. We are cutting more costs.
Are there plans to set it up so people can be onboarded with basically just an email and they can worry about keys later? I think keys are probably the biggest barrier to entry other than frontends, and adding this feature would make Snapie the easiest way to onboard others.

Sorry, I should've specified. Are there plans to integrate this into the app itself?

Yes... the way its always worked out.. I play around with the webapp first, and when I'm happy with it, when stuff works, then the mobile app gets the upgrades.
Awesome! I love it! I'm planning to encourage its use with the new community I'm building. 😁
