I am @abundancelife from Taiwan and so glad to attend this community. Although I am not doing the job related to architecture or design, I really love to visit all kinds architecture all over the world.

The New York Public Library is also called the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, which is a landmark in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. Its architectural style is Beaux-Arts. Beaux-Arts emphasizes the magnificence and symmetry of the building, and is mostly used in large memorial buildings.
紐約公共圖書館也被稱為Stephen A. Schwarzman大樓，是紐約曼哈頓市中心的地標。它的建築風格是布雜藝術，強調建築的宏偉、對稱，多用於大型紀念建築。
After entering the library gate, you can see the first floor lobby, known as Astor hall. Pretty white marbles cover the walls of Astor hall
進入圖書館大門後，可以看到一樓大廳，即Astor hall。漂亮的白色大理石覆蓋著阿斯特大廳的牆壁。
After going up the stairs from Astor hall, you can get to the second floor.
從Astor hall上樓後，你可以到二樓。
There is also a periodic room on the first floor. The beautiful chandeliers and murals make the room more beautiful. You can use the computer to check the journals you want.
一樓還有Periodical Room，美麗的吊燈和壁畫讓這個房間更加美麗，你在這可以用電腦查閱你想要的期刊。
The Jill Kupin Rose Gallery is on the second floor, which contains ongoing exhibitions.When I visited, there was an exhibition on the theme of love. I felt all kinds of love from the pictures on the wall.
Jill Kupin Rose Gallery在二樓，裡面有正在進行的展覽。我參觀的時候，有一個以愛為主題的展覽。我從牆上的照片中感受到了各種各樣的愛。
This is McGraw Rotunda, which in on the third floor of New York Public Library. The McGraw Rotunda contains numerous murals by Edward Laning. The ceiling mural is called "Prometheus Bringing Fire to Men", which attracts me the most.
這是McGraw Rotunda，在紐約公共圖書館的三樓。McGraw Rotunda裏有許多愛德華·拉寧的壁畫。天花板上的壁畫叫“普羅米修士給人類帶來火”，最吸引我。
You also can see “Rose Main Reading Room” on the third floor. So many people sit in this room reading. There is one sign in front of the room says “Quiet Please” because there are many tourists visiting and taking photos. Moreover,the ceiling is also decorated with gorgeous chandeliers, which is impressive.
在三樓還可以看到Rose Main Reading Room。雖然有許多觀光客在參觀及照相，但因為有非常多人坐在這間房裡看書，所以牌子上寫著請安靜。天花板上也垂著非常華麗的燈飾，讓人印象深刻。
Located on the third floor, this reading room is called Salomon room. It can be used for reading and surfing the Internet. The room is still decorated with gorgeous chandeliers and many oil paintings on the wall.
這間讀書室位於三樓，叫Salomon Room，可以作用讀書、和上網之用。天花板依舊有著華麗的吊燈，以及牆上放著很多油畫作為裝飾。

Wow, the New York Public Library is a sight to behold. I wonder how old this structure is and does it undergone restoration in the past? The structure seems to have a touch of old art especially the paintings on the ceiling.
To my understanding, this structure is established more than one hundred years ago and it definitely underwent restoration. 😀
