It has always been of my interest to enjoy the details of the colonial style houses, I do not know if it is because of the tones of the wood, for the particularity of its distribution, or for the amount of details that allow you to feel in another era.
Siempre a sido de mi interés el poder disfrutar de los detalles de las casas de estilo colonial, no se si sea por los tonos de la madera , por la particularidad de su distribucion , o por la cantidad de detalles que te permiten sentir en otra época .
Just in front of the Bolivar square in Maturin, and next to the church of Saint Simon and Saint Jude Thaddeus (here is the link if you want to know a little more about it) link, is a beautiful and large beige house surrounded by simple black railings, with a huge patio, which in another era could have been the home of any landowner, but today is the seat of the governor of Monagas state, in Venezuela. This is a place that is always full of people, who come to this place to make various requests to state representatives, seeking to be heard, and in view of the crowded place, had not been able to access coupled with the fact that it is a place for government purposes, but the insistence always leads to success, so today I can give you a visual tour of this beautiful old colonial house.
Justo al frente de la plaza bolívar de Maturin , y al lado de la iglesia San Simon y san judas tadeo ,( aquí tienen el link si desean conocer un poco mas de ella )link, se encuentra una hermosa y gran casa de color beige rodeada por unas simples rejas negras , con un patio enorme , que en otra época podía a haber sido el hogar de cualquier terrateniente , pero que hoy en dia es sede de la gobernación del estado Monagas , en Venezuela.Este es un lugar que siempre se encuentra repleto de personas , que acuden a este lugar para realizar diversas solicitudes a los representantes estatales, en busca de ser escuchados , y en vista a lo concurrido del lugar , no había podido tener acceso aunado que es un lugar con fines gubernamentales , pero la insistencia siempre lleva al éxito , asi que hoy les podre dar un recorrido visual de esta hermosa y antigua casa colonial .
It has a very interesting location, since it covers an entire block in the center, giving its entrance with large black bars to the main square of the city, then you can observe it completely from outside, having a full view, has a huge courtyard that surrounds it, full of palms lined around it on its right side and the back.
Tiene una ubicación bien interesante , ya que abarca toda una cuadra en pleno centro , dando su entrada con grandes rejas negras a la plaza principal de la ciudad , entonces puedes observarla completamente desde afuera , teniendo una vista completa , tiene un patio enorme que la rodea , lleno de palmas alineadas en su alrededor por su lado derecho y la parte trasera .
In all the front has 2 huge trees that I think must have almost the same amount of years that the house for its large size and robustness and this great house has the particularity of being surrounded by windows, I managed to count more than 20, each of them represents a room and each of these windows is decorated with simple stained glass windows and these have an exterior grille that protects them.
En todo el frente tiene 2 arboles enormes que creo deben tener casi la misma cantidad de años que la casa por su gran tamaño y robustez y esta gran casa tiene la particularidad de estar rodeados de ventanas , logre contar mas de 20 , cada una de ellas representa una habitacion y cada una de estas ventanas esta decorada con sencillos vitrales y estas poseen una reja exterior que las protege .

Es una enorme casa de dos pisos con líneas sencillas y que a primera vista destaca por sus muros altos y su hermoso balcón , es de destacar que maturin pertenece a los llanos orientales venezolanos , y realmente son pocas las construcciones de gran altura en el centro de la ciudad , generalmente estas construcciones de edificios se encuentran es en la zona donde se ubican las clinicas , y centros empresariales , pero en el area comercial que es el centro de la ciudad son de tamaño promedio.

Al entrar en este recinto notas la delicadeza de cada una de sus piezas, pienso que es un estilo colonial modernizado , ya que se nota en la madera de su machiembrado sumamente cuidado y recubierto por tejas de arcilla para no perder el estilo . Se encuentra un patio central con una fuente pequeña , en el momento que entre este no estaba activo , ya que le estaban haciendo mantenimiento , pero esta dispuesto de esa forma , en la antiguedad estos sitios pasaban a ser la distraccion del hogar , ya que alli se realizaban toda clase de reuniones sociales y festejos , entonces es un patio grande adornado con una variedad de plantas , algunas palmas , que le dan un ambiente de frescura al lugar , Maturin es una ciudad sumamente calurosa , pero alli se siente la frescura que brinda las plantas .
Si hay algo que me fascina de este tipo de construcciones, son los arcos que rodean el lugar estan en todas partes y le dan tanta fuerza y protagonismo al lugar , a pesar de ser un estilo colonial tiene aires arabes y me recuerdan esos grandes palacios llenos de arcos a su alrededor , de verdad que su forma y sus pilares sobre la cual estan sostenidos en esa base negra lo hacen ver hermoso.
If there is something that fascinates me about this type of construction, are the arches that surround the place are everywhere and give so much strength and prominence to the place, despite being a colonial style has an Arabian air and remind me of those great palaces full of arches around it, really its shape and its pillars on which they are supported in that black base make it look beautiful.
Added to this, is the combination of colors so sober and elegant in which it is wrapped, which highlight the beauty of the place in its simplicity, highlighting the artistic elements of the place, including the carved wooden doors, the paintings also made of wood, with scenes of battles and important moments in Venezuelan history.
Aunado a esto , es la combinacion de colores tan sobrios y elegantes en la que esta envuelta , que hacen resaltar la belleza del lugar en su simplicidad, destancando los elementos artisticos del lugar , entre ellos las puertas talladas de madera , los cuadros tambien de madera , con escenas de batallas y momentos importantes dentro de la historia venezolana .
It has in one of its corners a beautiful staircase forged in iron of black color, that when ascending them you can appreciate some beautiful stained glass windows with the shield of Venezuela and the shield of the state Monagas, there from the second floor to a great quantity of rooms that nowadays fulfill the work of ofcinas for this institution, and from there there there is a wonderful general view, always with point of focus the central patio of this beautiful place.
Posee en una de sus esquinas una hermosa escalera forjada en hierro de color negro , que al subirlas se puede apreciar unos hermosos vitrales con el escudo de Venezuela y el escudo del estado Monagas , allí desde el segundo piso a una gran cantidad de habitaciones que hoy en dia cumplen la labor de ofcinas para esta institución , y desde allí hay una maravillosa vista general, siempre con punto de enfoque el patio central de este hermoso lugar.

The colonial-inspired designed house, currently being the seat of the governor of the Monagas state, is an impressive edifice. And I'm glad you were able to tour its outdoor and indoor premises. As for the colonial house , it was a real challenge to find the place as clear as possible and have the necessary permits to access , but the truth is that I am very insistent when I want to achieve something , so I'm glad you could enjoy this visual tour , it has many details and I really love that .
