Land Roads: Trails and Highways | Admiring a little bit of everything (Part 1)

Dear Friends

In my passage through different places you have to give credit to the Venezuelan paved roads, including dirt roads that make life a little more fun because of the risky of some routes. Today I show you a first publication where I will talk about the land roads, their importance, necessity and in successive publications we will address other aspects, especially at this time that is beginning to fall some downpours in the country, which has always harmed the road system among other things. This is affected and we will be talking in future publications.

Apreciados amigos

A little history

Before moving on, I should mention that the existence of the first land roads up to the modern highways responds to the need of human beings to move around. The first trails were a great road solution in ancient times just as the modern highways are today. Since we are mentioning antiquity, it is important to refer to the system of Roman roads and the Road network of the Inca Empire, these important civilizations, thanks to their wise engineers, built a whole network of paved roads that linked the main cities of the Empire, using stone, sand and gravel. Even after thousands of years, they are still admirably preserved today.

Roads for a modern era

The appearance of the motor vehicle during the 20th century forced the construction of other types of roads and highways. Likewise, with the exploitation of petroleum, asphalt became available as the main material for the new road system. With today's materials it is not difficult to build a road, but it is more expensive.

The need to reach any location remains a challenge and transport routes have to be adapted to terrain features, for example mountains or ravines. It must also be safe for vehicles, so sharp curves must be avoided, and cause the least damage to animals and plants in the area it crosses.

Here I share with you some photos in one of the climbs to Colonia Tovar in Aragua State. I can't pass up this landscape.

There will always be dirt roads

Some dirt roads and trails still exist in the country life and they will not disappear because they are very useful and ideal in these natural environments. These continue to survive in a modern age although even in rural environments there are paved roads or in the cities you see dirt roads but this as a symbol of neglect.

On this occasion I show you nice pictures of my beloved llanero states, Guárico and Apure.

More roads I have traveled in Venezuela

In my passage through the state of Bolivar, there are more roads to admire.

There you can see the Angostura Bridge.

The number of vehicles on the road and the large size of cities make it necessary to build complex networks of highways and other roads.

A great post @sorprendente, as there is a lot to cut about the road network in Venezuela. In particular there is much to exalt, between the good and the bad but unfortunately the bad weighs heavily. It is very good to keep an eye on what follows after this first publication. You show beautiful moments of places visited in Venezuela.

My hug son ♥

Over here, already overcoming part of the technical setbacks to be able to continue exalting the theme of the road system, both you and me, it is difficult to stay active with our work and virtual projects while we do not completely overcome the technical problems. Thank you for your appreciation in this publication and a big hug mother and much success.

Go ahead son, you are presenting this topic in the best way, the unconventional way. Different is better.

My strong hug ♥

Amazing collection of roads and streets you got here @sorprendente! These infrastructures may just be ordinary elements in everyday life but, you have offered them justice with your articulate post. Thank you for featuring these incredible projects of engineering genius!

Friend @storiesoferne, I have been absent for several weeks from the community solving technical problems that left me stranded to continue publishing, but thank God I'm back and I appreciate your comment you left in this publication. I am reactivating myself to continue with this series on viality which, as you rightly say, are elements of everyday life but need to be done justice. Blessings.

That's alright @sorprendente, and it's great to see you again here. Welcome back to Hive and to our Architecture+Design Community! Cheers!

Thank you @storiesoferne. You are very kind, as always in the community.

This pathway is very scenic I would love to walk on it.
