Recently relocated to the Lone Star State, and waiting for our house to be completed, my wife and I borrowed a key card from the builder and went to check out the housing community's expansive Tuscan clubhouse, where I captured this shadow photo. I'm entering it in round 144 of the weekly shadow hunter's contest, created by @melinda010100 and guest judged again this week by @annephilbrick.
The shadow photo shows one of the more relaxing areas of the clubhouse but, for the curious, here are some additional "non-shadow" images of the facility:

It was in the mid-80's when I took these photos (82 predicted for today, but I guess everyone was at work or school. The indoor meeting area was well-stocked with fitness stuff, and the calendar showed that they had had three different fitness classes there earlier that day...maybe I can get in shape after we move in ;-)

Thanks Melinda! We moved here a little early, to be here before election day, so we're living out of suitcases in an Airbnb. It's exciting to see the house coming along, but we're both a bit impatient about moving in. Covid closures at Whirlpool delayed the appliances, and Thanksgiving will give us another few days delay, but we hope to start settling-in in early December. Take care!

Yeah...but we aren't in the club until we close on our house. Went to a huge outdoor market in Wimberley instead. Lots of handmade things, even some photographers selling prints.
I looked on Google satellite maps. That's a big lake! Sort of in the middle between Austin and San Antonio... cool!
Yeah, it's a bit over 8000 acres, I think. Of course, my daughter warned me not to go in the water due to Texas leading the country with water-borne brain amoeba :-(

Truly a wonderful area to relax at the clubhouse and definitely enjoy the quiet company of the beautiful Shadows. The pool is amazing and looks most inviting too.

Thank you for those kind words. It's a bit of a drive to get to that pool, just a few minutes really, but we will have a smaller, adults only, pool just a block or so from our house. I'm sure we're gonna need all the pools we can get to stay cool in the Texas heat (82 degrees today, 84 tomorrow...in November!).
