My entry to #shadowhunter’s contest hosted by community creator @melinda010100 and judged by @annephilbrick.
I wrote a previous blog about a stray kitten roaming around the yard and eating the bird food I put outside.
Once I saw the kitten I left cat food outside and a cage on the back deck. It slept in the cage some nights but I was afraid a coyote or fox would find it. It didn’t take long and CC came to trust me and CeeCee(CC)is now part of the household.
Thanks @deerjay for suggesting the name CeeCee. CC which is short for calico cutie.
These are shadows when CC was still outside on the back deck.
CC is a beautiful calico kitten with orange, black and white fur. Most tri-colored cats are female and she does needs a little TLC (tender loving care)to make her shine.
The ears have it.

CC has been to the vet and now making herself at home with my other two cats, Red and Sunday. I will keep her as a inside cat. Luckily she doesn’t want anything to do with the outside world now. I open the door and she runs from it.
Red likes the kitten but Sunday is having a hard time warming up to a new baby getting the attention.

That makes my heart happy that CC (great name-I have two Canadian friends named Ceci btw) is part of the household.
She's going to be gorgeous and I'm sure she'll be shiny as a new penny in short order. I'm not surprised that she doesn't want anything to do with the door. My Lizzie walked in and didn't care if she ever went back outside...

That’s a very cute and playful kitten! CC is looking very happy and comfortable there in the sunshine! So glad that this kitten was very easy to tame and friendly. There’s going to be so much fun inside the house! LoL
I said two cats were enough but little CC fits right in @kaminchan. The older cat Red likes her and Sunday will eventually.
So glad to know that CC is getting along quite well the Red; Sunday is playing hard to please. LoL

CC has found her new family and home and I like CC - the name and also the cat 🤗

The hissing is less now so I think Sunday is starting to come around. Red really likes the kitten and will let CC play with his tail.

Afternoon Hannes...7 AM here but I think it is noon hour in your corner of the world. 😊
Sunday has been the baby for so long and got a lot of attention. It’s taking him awhile to adjust to the kitten getting some of the attention. Middle child syndrome I think. :) Animals are not unlike humans with their little personalities.

Yeah, I think kitten are just like children - they love to play and they are jealous on each other, but just as children learn and grow up the kitten will do the same 😉

CC is a pretty kitten and is happy to be inside and part of the household.

What a happy story. A beautiful, happy, smart cat :) We have been supporting so-called ferals for many years now. They have their own houses (heated in winter with electric pads) and several have lived very long lives. The generation is dying off now, but mostly natural deaths. There are no wild animals here. Only opossum and they get along fine with the cats.

There is a Cat Action group here AG @agmoore. They support feral cats and help with neutering or spade if you are going to keep the stray. There is also the Humane Society to take abandoned animals.
Most of the wildlife here, such as skunks, or raccoons, don’t bother the cats. I think the only wild animals that are a danger to cats or small animals are the coyotes and foxes. They have to eat too but I’d just as soon it not be a pet.

We didn't really keep the strays. They kept us :)) It was a can of tuna many years ago that did the trick. One cat stayed and the others just came. We had them all neutered (with the help of local aid societies) and a neighbor cooperated (still cooperates) in the feeding and housing. They are still free spirits, but basically spend their time sunning themselves on the front yard when the weather is fine.

Eh, so you really run a cathouse AG?:)) 😺The cats are having a great life with their own quarters and free range.
Actually there is a lady not too far outside the town (she and her husband have a taxi business) and she has a separate house for her cats. I think they are mostly strays. She gets them all neutered with the help of Cat Action.I don't know her personally but knew her neighbor who said she often heard her calling, at the top of hr lungs, for the cats late at night to come into the cat house. She probable wanted them safely inside for I know a few went missing.
CC is enjoying the inside and warmth of the fireplace. She often snuggles up to it as close as possible without getting burned. She is smart little cutie and acts like she's been here forever.
Beautiful post Jo!! She is so pretty as is her shadow also! I love CC with the two C's and really you came up with her name. It fits her since she is most definitely a Calico Cutie. She sounds like Friendly as Friendly was a stray that adopted us and once she came inside the house, she never wanted out again. I'm so happy that CC is in a loving home! 💖 💞
