Recibo la invitación para participar en el conversatorio de poesías, en la celebración del día Mundial de la Poesía, en homenaje a José Antonio Ramos Sucre. La actividad está organizada por la red de bibliotecas públicas del estado Bolívar. Le respondo de manera responsable a Yelitza Bravo, que voy a estar presente con algunos poemas. Selecciono algunos haikus y un poema. Ella, es la coordinadora de la Biblioteca Pública “Simón Rodríguez”, municipio Cedeño, estado Bolívar, Venezuela.
I am invited to participate in the poetry conversation, in celebration of World Poetry Day, in homage to José Antonio Ramos Sucre. The activity is organised by the network of public libraries in the state of Bolivar. I respond responsibly to Yelitza Bravo, that I will be present with some poems. I select some haikus and a poem. She is the coordinator of the "Simón Rodríguez" Public Library, Cedeño municipality, Bolívar state, Venezuela.
Me apersono en las instalaciones de biblioteca pública. Llego con dos morrales, en uno tengo la computadora y algunos poemarios de notables cultores venezolanos y en el otro, el equipo de sonido con el que estoy colaborando para darle mayor prestancia al evento local. Soy recibido por la coordinadora municipal de la biblioteca. Las sillas y la mesa del presídium están organizadas con una modesta presentación. Sobre la mesa están varios poemarios del bardo cumanés venezolano. Se siente el ambiente de un sencillo y significativo acto donde voy a participar con siete ponentes locales de sus creaciones literarias.
I go to the public library. I arrive with two backpacks, in one I have the computer and some poetry books by notable Venezuelan poets, and in the other, the sound equipment with which I am collaborating to give greater prestige to the local event. I am received by the municipal coordinator of the library. The chairs and the presidium table are arranged with a modest presentation. On the table are several books of poems by the Venezuelan bard from Cumana. There is the atmosphere of a simple and significant event where I am going to participate with seven local speakers of his literary creations.
Cubren las sillas los invitados a escuchar las poesías a la pequeña sala, me acerco a la mesa a ocupar una silla con los seleccionados a homenajear y recordar al bardo cumanés. Tengo la responsabilidad y el compromiso de iniciar el evento. Hago un breve comentario del tamaño de la obra intelectual del poeta Ramos Sucre y, leo mis cinco haikus al Orinoco, con un agradable y sudoroso poema, me acerco a los ojos de dos preciosas damas. Me despiden con unos sinceros aplausos que, me regalaron por mi intervención de nuevo oficiante de la poesía. Seguidamente, interviene @delvallepinate, hace una sucinta exposición de la biografía del poeta que se rememora; presenta a la concurrencia sus creaciones literarias, son amenos y subjetivos, la alegría y los aplausos estremecen los estantes de libros. La comunicación visual de las personas que están cómodamente sentadas en las sillas, demuestra que están conformes con el acontecimiento local.
The chairs are covered by those invited to listen to the poems in the small hall. I approach the table to occupy a chair with those selected to pay homage and remember the bard from Cuman. I have the responsibility and the commitment to start the event. I make a brief commentary on the size of the intellectual work of the poet Ramos Sucre and, reading my five haikus to the Orinoco, with a pleasant and sweaty poem, I approach the eyes of two beautiful ladies. They bid me farewell with sincere applause, which they gave me for my intervention as a new officiant of poetry. Next, @delvallepinate intervenes, gives a succinct account of the biography of the poet who is being remembered; he presents his literary creations to the audience, they are entertaining and subjective, the joy and the applause shake the bookshelves. The visual communication of the people who are comfortably seated in the chairs shows that they are happy with the local event.

Acordamos que continúen las damas Ruth Rojas y Angie Arévalo para salir del pesado y burdo sentido machista de echar hacia un lado a la mujer en el presídium. Expongo al público presente que el machismo es una sanguinolenta llaga de la humanidad que está vigente.
Bonanyer García, president of the association of poets of Orinoco, continues. He discusses the content of the poetry and goes on to read his poems. We agreed that the ladies Ruth Rojas and Angie Arévalo would continue in order to get out of the heavy and crude macho sense of casting women aside in the presidium. I would like to point out to the audience that machismo is a bloody sore of humanity that is still alive and well.
En ese orden realiza continua Ruth, comentando la situación como fallece Ramos Sucre. Sostiene que fallece muy joven, es dramática su corta existencia, su obra es impresionante. Me tomo el placer de felicitar la intervención de Ruth porque en anteriores reuniones no había aflorado con sus poemas, pero ahora si se soltó lo que tenía atesorado. El público la aplaudió con suave fluidez.
In this vein, Ruth continued, commenting on the situation of Ramos Sucre's death. She maintains that he died very young, his short existence is dramatic, his work is impressive. I take the pleasure of congratulating Ruth's intervention because in previous meetings she had not been able to bring her poems to the surface, but now she let loose what she had treasured. The audience applauded her with a soft flow.
Continúa Angie, la presento manteniendo el papel de maestro de ceremonia del evento. Esta dama se fue volando por el cielo de la sala, de una vez soltó, lo que tiene guardado en el arca de su alma, los poemas son de muchos versos. Son fluidos, tiene ritmo y melodía.
Angie continued, I introduce her maintaining the role of master of ceremony for the event. This lady flew through the sky of the room, she let loose all at once, what she has stored in the ark of her soul, the poems are of many verses. They are fluid, they have rhythm and melody.
Le entrego el turno en el programa a Cristóbal Castillo, quien efectúa una salida recurriendo a la presencia de la oscuridad en la poesía como defendiendo la luz en la oscuridad, es una extraña dialéctica de este ponente. Declama una brevísima poesía más corta que un haiku. Saluda los aplausos, se despide y solicita al público que se retira porque tiene otra actividad que realizar.
I give the turn in the programme to Cristóbal Castillo, who makes an exit by resorting to the presence of darkness in poetry as if defending the light in the darkness, it is a strange dialectic of this speaker. He recites a very short poem, shorter than a haiku. He salutes the applause, says goodbye and asks the audience to leave because he has another activity to do.
Carlos Gómez es el siguiente poeta que tiene la digna ocasión para mostrar unas páginas de su extenso poemario, concebido desde su niñez, lee varios de sus poemas. Él, está enmarcado en la corriente de la poesía popular venezolana.
Carlos Gómez is the next poet who has the dignified occasion to show a few pages of his extensive collection of poems, conceived from his childhood, and he reads several of his poems. He is part of the current of popular Venezuelan poetry.
Presento a Constantino Hernández, quien muestra un sigiloso y breve repaso, paseando por la historia de la poesía, desde los griegos, los europeos y los venezolanos hasta Ramos Sucre. Constantino se digna leer las recomendaciones elementales para la conformación de un oficiante de la poesía, también, ejecuta la lectura de la carta de José Antonio para su hermano Lázaro. Este personaje se expresa como un exquisito y documentado de la obra magistral de Ramos y, se remite a La Torre de Timón. Diserta acerca de la dilatada y extensa magnitud de esta obra, es parca y sintetizada, con cierto matiz pedagógico su intervención, trata de elevar la calidad del evento. Continúa diciendo el ponente que, en apenas cuarenta años, con la insomne y tormentosa enfermedad, se extingue la vitalidad material del exquisito e insomne intelectual venezolano con la trascendencia de girar por los recintos de las bibliotecas de la academia del idioma castellano, con su espíritu universal por las principales universidades de España. Constantino diserta de manera corta la importancia de la prosa y su aporte para la humanidad.
I present Constantino Hernández, who shows a stealthy and brief review of the history of poetry, from the Greeks, the Europeans and the Venezuelans to Ramos Sucre. Constantino deigns to read the elementary recommendations for the formation of an officiant of poetry, and also reads José Antonio's letter to his brother Lázaro. This character expresses himself as an exquisite and documented expert on Ramos's masterly work and refers to La Torre de Timón. He discusses the long and extensive magnitude of this work, is sparing and synthesised, with a certain pedagogical nuance in his intervention, and tries to raise the quality of the event. The speaker goes on to say that, in barely forty years, with the insomniac and tormenting illness, the material vitality of the exquisite and insomniac Venezuelan intellectual is extinguished, with the transcendence of touring the libraries of the academy of the Spanish language, with his universal spirit in the main universities of Spain. Constantino briefly discusses the importance of prose and its contribution to humanity.
Cierra nuestro evento Milthon Rojas, cronista de la ciudad de Caicara del Orinoco, quien lee sus poemas, son unas hojas amarillas que las extrae de una carpeta. Es sonoro su verbo, la acentuación a cada uno de sus versos tiene sentido. Culmina la lectura de sus poemas. Continúa, pasa la lectura de sus poemas, como quien pasa la hoja y cierra un libro rápidamente, para decir que Ramos Sucre tiene una gran significación en el maravilloso mundo de la lengua castellana, al reiterar, que es obligatorio en una universidad española, estudiar en el contenido del pénsum, a este talento venezolano. Es más, que todavía la obra de Ramos Sucre falta por escudriñar porque no se ha comprendido la magnitud de este brillante espíritu venezolano. Hasta este momento, con el cierre, es que se aborda con mayor significación, la obra del poeta Ramos sucre, se siente con el calor la presencia, en la sala de la biblioteca. Porque se mantuvo en las intervenciones el sentimiento de la corta presencia humana del ilustre poeta.
Milthon Rojas, chronicler of the city of Caicara del Orinoco, closes our event by reading his poems from yellow sheets of paper taken from a folder. Up to this moment, with the closing, the work of the poet Ramos Sucre was approached with greater significance, the presence of the poet was felt with warmth in the library hall. Because the feeling of the short human presence of the illustrious poet was maintained in the interventions.
Así culmina, felizmente, esta crónica, poseído por un espíritu escribiente y actuando como un secretario de actas del Día Mundial de la Poesía, en este humilde y espontáneo momento humano. Estoy emocionado de participar y disfrutar de la expansión en el batir de alas de las aves de la poesía en las orillas del torrentoso río Orinoco.
Thus ends, happily, this chronicle, possessed by a writing spirit and acting as a recording secretary of the World Poetry Day, in this humble and spontaneous human moment. I am thrilled to participate and enjoy the expansion in the flapping wings of the birds of poetry on the banks of the torrential Orinoco River.
