Los gallos cantan dándole la bienvenida al nuevo día. Los gallos, siempre los gallos tienen el canto salvador de anunciar novedades. Me levanto porque estoy invitado por la Fundación poetas del Río para disertar, a cerca, de la diferencia de la Poesía y el poema, este evento tiene pautado celebrar el Día Mundial de la Poesía. El lugar donde se va a efectuar el evento es en el edificio del liceo privado “Tomas de Heres” a las ocho de la mañana.
Me traslado a pie, en línea recta, por la calle Riobueno, desde de mi casa hasta el costo del río Orinoco. Son nueve cuadras, llego a la parte alta de la calle para empezar a bajar hasta la plaza Bolívar. Allá está el Orinoco, imponente con inmenso color. La playa la cubre el intenso verde de los cultivos de los vegueros del río. Bajo por el lomo del cerro. Al frente está el Liceo Tomás de Heres, donde antiguamente estaba la casa de la familia Díaz Ramos y Julia García; de ese edificio no queda ni una sola puerta, ni mucho menos una ventana sola, fueron demolidas por los espíritus depredadores de la memoria histórica de los pueblos.
The roosters crow to welcome the new day. The roosters, always the roosters have the saving crow of announcing news. I get up because I am invited by the Fundación Poetas del Río to speak about the difference between Poetry and the poem, this event is scheduled to celebrate World Poetry Day. The place where the event will take place is in the building of the private high school "Tomas de Heres" at eight o'clock in the morning.
I move on foot, in a straight line, along Riobueno Street, from my house to the Orinoco River. It's nine blocks, I get to the top of the street to start walking down to the Plaza Bolivar. There is the Orinoco, imposing with immense colour. The beach is covered by the intense green of the crops of the river's vegueros. I walk down the slope of the hill. In front is the Liceo Tomás de Heres, where the house of the Díaz Ramos and Julia García family used to be; not a single door remains of that building, much less a single window, they were demolished by the predatory spirits of the historical memory of the people.
La puerta está abierta, me desplazo a paso rápido, porque me preocupo, para llegar a tiempo al evento. La sala se encuentra vacía, aunque no tan vacía, porque ella está invadida por un sonido que tiene los bajos y el brillo en extremo de la paranoia. Me pregunto ¿Será que me persigue el espíritu de las sombras de la noche? No le temo. Continuo.
Saludo a los organizadores, Del valle Piñate y Bonanyer. Ellos están en los preparativos resolviendo aquí y allá los detalles. Les propongo que traten de controlar los excesos del alto sonido que se satura el espacio. Los señores aceptan reducir las descargas de la guerra sónica interna. Se siente más agradable, el ambiente de la sala y comienzan a llegar los invitados. Los representantes con significativo número de alumnos comienzan a ocupar las sillas. Ya el evento tiene público. Estoy preparado para conversar con los alumnos, los representantes, las autoridades del liceo y los poetas locales que van a leer sus poemas.
The door is open, I move at a fast pace, because I'm worried, to get to the event on time. The room is empty, although not so empty, because it is invaded by a sound that has the bass and the extreme brightness of paranoia. I wonder if I am being haunted by the spirit of the shadows of the night? I do not fear it. I continue.
I greet the organisers, Del Valle Piñate and Bonanyer. They are in the preparations, working out the details here and there. I propose that they try to control the excesses of the loud sound that saturates the space. The gentlemen agree to reduce the discharges of the internal sonic warfare. The atmosphere in the hall feels more pleasant and the guests begin to arrive. The representatives with a significant number of students begin to occupy the chairs. Already the event has an audience. I am ready to talk with the pupils, the representatives, the school authorities and the local poets who are going to read their poems.
Se da la orden de iniciar la programación con la presentación de una dramatización encarnada por Andreína Martínez, con un monólogo titulado, Poesía. Ella es la creadora de la obra y del traje que utiliza en la puesta en escena por la joven poetiza. Los aplausos que sienten en el salón son fuertes y sinceros. Seguidamente, el moderador llama a la primera participante, la Dra. Eneida Requena, ella me estremece el banco donde estoy sentado, con su verso fresco y estimulante; propone a continuar despierto para recibir al amor.
Sube al escenario una joven violinista, Luisana Campos, me rasguña el alma con el arco; las cuerdas suenan como buscando al espíritu nocturno, para que la música sea la que guie el programa con sus sensacionales notas y desaparezca toda pesadez del feliz ambiente en esta programación.
The order is given to start the programme with the presentation of a dramatisation incarnated by Andreína Martínez, with a monologue entitled, Poesía (Poetry). She is the creator of the play and of the costume used in the staging by the young poetess. The applause in the hall is loud and sincere. Then, the moderator calls the first participant, Dr. Eneida Requena, she shakes the bench where I am sitting, with her fresh and stimulating verse; she proposes to continue awake to receive love.
A young violinist, Luisana Campos, comes on stage, she scratches my soul with her bow; the strings sound as if searching for the spirit of the night, so that the music guides the programme with its sensational notes and all heaviness disappears from the happy atmosphere of this programme.
El maestro que modera la programación, me llama al pódium para conversar con respecto a la diferencia de la poesía y el poema. Es sencillo e importante comprender que la poesía es el género literario más completo de la poesía porque utiliza el lenguaje culto y emocionante para comunicar emociones y rendir gratitud a la belleza. Empleo los conceptos de la RAE para decir que es considerable para ponerme acorde con la norma de la institución de la lengua española. Impulso en mi intervención, a la audiencia, la imperativa necesidad de leer y revisar los clásicos, dentro de ellos la Torá y la Biblia; el viejo y el nuevo testamento. Rememoro brevemente a mi don Andrés Bello, padre de la gramática castellana, y a Ramos Sucre, con la potencialidad de la prosa. Expongo para los preocupados del candente tema de la poesía folclórica, que se debe indagar la proyección de literaria de los bardos Lazo Martí y Arvelo Torrealba.
The teacher who moderates the programme calls me to the podium to talk about the difference between poetry and poem. It is simple and important to understand that poetry is the most complete literary genre of poetry because it uses cultured and exciting language to communicate emotions and pay gratitude to beauty. I use the concepts of the RAE to say that it is considerable to bring myself in line with the norm of the institution of the Spanish language. I impel in my intervention, to the audience, the imperative need to read and review the classics, within them the Torah and the Bible; the old and the new testament. I briefly recall my don Andrés Bello, father of Spanish grammar, and Ramos Sucre, with the potential of prose. For those concerned with the burning issue of folkloric poetry, I suggest that the literary projection of the bards Lazo Martí and Arvelo Torrealba should be investigated.
Concluyo con énfasis que el poema expresa la máxima belleza a través de la palabra exquisita, suprema, sublime y trascendente. Cierro mi intervención, leyendo el poema, Epitafio del Cacique Empalado de Gustavo Pereira y mi poema @Sin las Nubes.
En el curso del fluido programa continúa el poeta Del Valle Coromoto Piñate leyendo sus poemas. Después se nutre el escenario con la presencia de los alumnos de la U. E. C. Tomás de Heres, quienes estremecen al público con sus juveniles voces leyendo poemas. Estas portentosas voces están conformadas por Luhana Campos, Adrián Rodríguez, Vicente Cruz, José Gregorio Díaz Cordero. Así se le da el carácter de la Fundación Poetas del Orinoco para que quien quiera participar leyendo sus propias creaciones literarias sin ninguna objeción puedan leer sus poemas. Prosigue el poeta Rafael Caña con dos poemas ubicándose en el contexto local.
I conclude with emphasis that the poem expresses the maximum beauty through the exquisite, supreme, sublime and transcendent word. I close my intervention by reading the poem, Epitafio del Cacique Empalado by Gustavo Pereira and my poem @Sin las Nubes.
In the course of the flowing programme, the poet Del Valle Coromoto Piñate continues reading his poems. Then the stage is nourished by the presence of the students of the U. E. C. El programa está por culminar y se invita al cronista Milthon Rojas a leer sus poemas, es breve su intervención y confiesa su incorporación a la poesía después de leer y comprender lo intenso de Ramos Sucre. Lee con profunda emoción dos poemas de su repertorio.
A continuación, el poeta Bonanyer lee dos poemas y cierra el evento el nuevo invitado Arnaldo Perdomo, quien lee, emocionadamente, su poema, con una profunda sentimentalidad maternal y familiar. Él se refiere a su madre y a la oportunidad que utilizo la vestimenta de monaguillo. Este ponente se le fue el tiempo. Nos pegó a los presentes de los pesados bancos de hierro, con una intervención que abarca el poema, La Casada Infiel, de Federico García Lorca y, las consecuencias de la desaparición violenta de este luminoso poeta de la cultura española y universal. De allí se traslada a destacar la importancia de nuestro José Antonio Ramos Sucre, a quien le interrumpí vociferando: -“Mi Ramos Sucre”.
The programme is about to end and the chronicler Milthon Rojas is invited to read his poems. His intervention is brief and he confesses his incorporation into poetry after reading and understanding the intensity of Ramos Sucre. He reads two poems from his repertoire with deep emotion.
Next, the poet Bonanyer reads two poems and the event is brought to a close by the new guest Arnaldo Perdomo, who emotionally reads his poem, with deep maternal and family sentimentality. He refers to his mother and the opportunity to wear the altar boy's dress. This speaker ran out of time. He beat those of us present off the heavy iron benches, with a speech covering the poem, The Unfaithful Wife, by Federico García Lorca and the consequences of the violent disappearance of this luminous poet of Spanish and universal culture. From there, he moved on to highlight the importance of our José Antonio Ramos Sucre, whom I interrupted by shouting: - “My Ramos Sucre".
El sol está descendiendo, el cenit esta resplandeciente, el meridiano, va rotando la tierra en el sistema solar. El moderador despide al poeta Perdomo dando las gracias a los que permanecemos en el recinto, disfrutando del pequeño ágape de panes, arepitas, café, papelón con limón, refresco para mitigar el hambre de la una y media que termina este especial evento.
Gracias por leer mis post, referido a la celebración del Día Mundial de la Poesía, en las orillas del río de Caicara del Orinoco.

The sun is going down, the zenith is shining, the meridian, the earth is rotating in the solar system. The moderator bids farewell to the poet Perdomo, thanking those of us who remain in the room, enjoying the small agape of breads, arepitas, coffee, papelón with lemon, soft drink to mitigate the hunger of the one and a half o'clock hour that ends this special event.
