La gente empezó a quejarse
del patito distraído.
Exigieron su despido
y de ocupación cambiarse.
Si volviera a relajarse
despedido quedaría.
Volar libre no podría.
Esa fue la condición,
y esa dura decisión
Pati-Pati pensaría.
People began to complain about the distracted duckling.
They wanted him fired and reassigned to a different job.
Pati-Pati was put on probation: If he relaxed again, he would be fired; he could not fly freely.
That was the condition and Pati-Pati would have to consider that hard decision.

En este mundo de extremos
todos quieren ser amados
y si somos rechazados
cambiamos lo que debemos.
Cuando lo que más queremos
no sale como lo esperas.
buscamos otras maneras.
de ganar aceptación.
Pati-Pati en frustración
aceptó las anteojeras.
In this world of extremes, everyone wants to be loved.
If we are rejected we change what we must.
When what we want the most doesn't turn out as expected, we look for other ways to gain acceptance.
That’s how a frustrated Pati-Pati accepted to wear blinders.
