El día que la conocería
Estaba un día esperando que llegara el momento.
El día en que finalmente podría conocerla en persona.
Después de tantos años de verla solo a través de una pantalla, ese día se acercaba.
Tenía curiosidad por saber cómo se sentiría estar frente a frente con alguien a quien había conocido únicamente de forma digital.
Quería saber cómo sería tener una conversación cara a cara, entender qué tipo de persona era realmente.
Me preguntaba si la imagen que construí en mi mente se acercaría, aunque fuera un poco, a la realidad.
Romper la expectativa
En muchas ocasiones esperamos que la otra persona sea como la imaginamos.
Pero cuando se rompe esa barrera, cuando dejamos de idealizar y empezamos a conocer de verdad, descubrimos sus intereses, sus gustos, sus aficiones.
Es ahí donde empezamos a ver a la persona real, no la que existía solo en nuestra mente.
El valor de crear con otros
No siempre fue fácil
Momentos como esos, donde puedes acompañar o crear junto a alguien más, son especiales.
Aunque no siempre fue así para mí.
Me costó encontrar personas afines con quienes compartir ideas o construir una visión a futuro.
Hoy sí las tengo
Afortunadamente, hoy sí las tengo.
He encontrado un grupo de personas con las que realmente conecto.
Puedo compartir proyectos, ideas, ilusiones.
La importancia del networking
Por eso el networking se vuelve tan valioso.
Conocer gente nueva, incluso si está en otro país, puede generar conexiones significativas.
Si hay ganas de crear o compartir, se genera un match.
Pero vuelvo a lo esencial: el cara a cara.
Mirar más allá de la pantalla
Conocer a alguien en persona es crucial.
Permite entender sus gestos, su energía, su manera de estar en el mundo.
Y sé que, en el futuro, podré conocer a muchas de esas personas con las que hoy chateo a diario.
Ya sea que vengan a Panamá, o que yo asista a un evento organizado por Hive en este país, llegará el momento de ver, por primera vez, cómo son realmente las personas detrás de la pantalla.
¿Y si solo fuera una semana?
A veces esperamos años para conocer a una persona.
Días y días soñando con el momento.
Y cuando finalmente llega, tal vez solo tengamos una semana para estar juntos.
Entonces me pregunto: ¿qué hacer en una semana que marque de forma significativa?
Sobre todo, porque se esperó tanto tiempo para ese encuentro.

The Day I Would Meet Her
I was one day waiting for the moment.
The day when I could finally meet her in person.
After so many years of only seeing her through a screen, that day was getting closer.
I was curious about how it would feel to be face to face with someone I had only known digitally.
I wanted to know what it would be like to have a real conversation, to understand what kind of person she really was.
I wondered if the image I had built in my mind would even come close to reality.
Breaking Expectations
We often expect the other person to be just like we imagined.
But when that barrier breaks—when we stop idealizing and start truly getting to know someone—we discover their interests, likes, and passions.
That’s when we begin to see the real person, not the one who only existed in our mind.
The Value of Creating with Others
It Wasn't Always Easy
Moments like those—when you can accompany or create alongside someone—are special.
But it wasn’t always like that for me.
It took time to find like-minded people to share ideas or build a vision for the future.
Today I Have Them
Fortunately, today I do.
I’ve found a group of people I truly connect with.
I can share projects, ideas, dreams.
The Importance of Networking
That’s why networking becomes so valuable.
Meeting new people, even from another country, can create meaningful connections.
When there's a will to create or share, a match happens.
But I come back to the essential: face-to-face interaction.
Looking Beyond the Screen
Meeting someone in person is essential.
It allows us to understand their gestures, their energy, their way of being in the world.
And I know that, in the future, I’ll get to meet many of the people I chat with daily.
Whether they come to Panama, or I attend a Hive event here, the moment will come to see—finally—what the people behind the screen are really like.
What If It’s Only One Week?
Sometimes we wait years to meet someone.
Day after day dreaming about the moment.
And when it finally happens, maybe we only have one week together.
So I ask myself:
What can you do in one week that truly makes a difference?
Especially when you waited so long for that encounter.
