Gregorio corría por el pasillo de la Notaría hasta llegar a su destino. Se sentía apenado por llegar un poco tarde, ya que los abogados y las contrapartes lo estaban esperando ansiosamente. Abrió la puerta del despacho de manera abrupta vociferando un «Buenos días». Todos los presentes en el lugar lo miraron con seriedad, él quedó un poco avergonzado mientras tomaba asiento frente al escritorio. Los únicos que lo saludaron con cordialidad fueron los «Lautrel»; la familia con la que iba a sellar legalmente el contrato.
Los pondré en contexto para continuar. Hace diez años, emergió un partido político de entre la mugre de la humanidad. Había comenzado como un clan clandestino ya que sus actividades, anteriormente, se consideraban ilícitas. Me refiero a que este grupo estaba conformado por personas «antropófagas», o para utilizar un término conocido: Caníbales, personas que degustaban el consumo de carne humana.
Al principio comenzaron en sectas, grupos clandestinos o depredadores aglomerados en conjuntos pequeños que cazaban personas sin familias ni amigos. Pero luego comenzaron a complejizarse. Se organizaron. Recabaron datos científicos. Alzaron propuestas y crearon partidos que paulatinamente comenzaron a ascender en la sociedad. La primera nación que legalizó a un partido político conformado por caníbales fue Inglaterra, pues, dentro del parlamento, había influyentes antropófagos que cosecharon poderosas raíces dentro de la legalidad. Uno de ellos, el más prestigioso de su partido, llegó a convertirse en Primer Ministro de la nación. Su nombre era Ethan Faulkner y su política fue al principio tanto perturbadora como intrigante.
A partir de entonces, los caníbales distribuyeron campañas sobre la concientización y normalización del canibalismo dentro de la sociedad. Contrataron medios de comunicación importantes, los cuales exponían datos y hechos científicos sobre la importancia de la antropofagia y los beneficios que traería si se legalizara. También distribuyeron panfletos sobre las ventajas de comer carne humana, y que no era algo dañino para nuestro cuerpo comer la carne de otra persona, puesto que, según las investigaciones científicas que argumentaban, la carne poseía más proteína que un trozo de carne de res o de pollo.
También presentaban exhibiciones artísticas, literatura de cualquier género y modalidad, cinematografía y cualquier otro medio escrito o audiovisual que concientizara a las personas sobre los beneficios del canibalismo. Los caníbales emprendieron un largo viaje y esfuerzo desde que cobraron gran importancia en la política, y, gracias a esto, la gente después de largo tiempo comenzó a ver al canibalismo como una actividad común dentro de la sociedad.
Ante el peligro de derrumbarse la institución moral y tradicionalista, que mueve el seno de la sociedad, emergieron grupos «Anticaníbales» que comenzaron a contrarrestar las campañas políticas de los antropófagos, haciéndolos ver como monstruos indeseables que viven entre nosotros. Estos grupos anticaníbales se reunían en diferentes puntos de Londres, donde los antropófagos eran más activos, luego los apedreaban y los bañaban con sangre de cordero o de reses, para después destruir sus centros de campaña y publicidades.
La ciudad se convirtió en el campo de batalla de una guerra civil, donde los caníbales y los anticaníbales luchaban entre sí constantemente. Se crearon negocios o puntos de reuniones en que los anticaníbales se reunían para planificar desmoralizar a los antropófagos y sus prácticas antinaturales, disolverlos de la política del país y hasta de la sociedad en sí.
Pero las actividades de odio de los anticaníbales solo alimentaban lo inevitable, hasta que, en condiciones paupérrimas para los caníbales, un grito de satisfacción llenó sus corazones, pues se había aprobado finalmente la ley caníbal después de cinco años de lucha y esfuerzo. Esta ley tenía sus condiciones, pues el asesinato era ilegal y lo caníbales no podían engordar y matar a una persona para comérsela así como así. Una persona debía entregarse voluntariamente a otra que practicara el canibalismo, dejando registro por medio de un contrato notariado y archivado en el Ministerio Público y aceptando las condiciones y reglas de ambas partes según la ley.
Hubo países que comenzaron a seguir el ejemplo de Inglaterra y su nueva ley caníbal, introduciéndola dentro de sus leyes agregando algunos detalles, así como también hubo naciones anticaníbales que prohibieron y persiguieron con severidad esta práctica. Afortunadamente para Gregorio, él vivía en una nación donde el canibalismo era legal, y estaba a punto de sellar un contrato con los Lautrel, una familia caníbal que ha practicado esta actividad desde hace diez años. Las leyes anticaníbales, tanto como las caníbales todavía chocan entre sí, hasta el punto de provocar guerras, pero el mundo, desde este punto, ya estaba cambiando para siempre.

Gregorio ran down the hallway of the Notary's office until he reached his destination. He felt sorry for being a little late, since the lawyers and counterparts were anxiously waiting for him. He opened the office door abruptly, shouting "Good morning". Everyone in the room looked at him seriously, he was a little embarrassed as he took a seat in front of the desk. The only ones who greeted him cordially were the "Lautrels"; the family with whom he was going to legally seal the contract.
I will put them in context to continue. Ten years ago, a political party emerged from the muck of humanity. It had started as a clandestine clan since its activities, previously, were considered illicit. I am referring to the fact that this group was made up of "anthropophagous" people, or to use a well-known term: Cannibals, people who tasted the consumption of human flesh.
At first they began in sects, clandestine groups or predators agglomerated in small groups that hunted people without families or friends. But then they began to become more complex. They became organized. They gathered scientific data. They raised proposals and created parties that gradually began to rise in society. The first nation to legalize a political party made up of cannibals was England, because, within parliament, there were influential anthropophagi who harvested powerful roots within legality. One of them, the most prestigious of his party, became Prime Minister of the nation. His name was Ethan Faulkner and his policies were at first both disturbing and intriguing.
Thereafter, the cannibals distributed campaigns about raising awareness and normalizing cannibalism within society. They engaged major media outlets, which expounded data and scientific facts about the importance of anthropophagy and the benefits it would bring if it were legalized. They also distributed pamphlets about the advantages of eating human flesh, and that it was not something harmful to our body to eat the flesh of another person, since, according to scientific research they argued, the meat possessed more protein than a piece of beef or chicken.
They also presented artistic exhibitions, literature of any genre and modality, cinematography and any other written or audiovisual media that raised awareness of the benefits of cannibalism. Cannibals undertook a long journey and effort since they gained great importance in politics, and, thanks to this, people after a long time began to see cannibalism as a common activity within society.
Faced with the danger of the collapse of the moral and traditionalist institution, which moves the heart of society, "Anti-cannibal" groups emerged and began to counteract the political campaigns of the anthropophagous, making them look like undesirable monsters living among us. These anti-cannibal groups would gather at different points in London, where the anthropophagi were most active, then stone them and bathe them in lamb's or cattle's blood, and then destroy their campaign centers and advertisements.
The city became the battlefield of a civil war, where cannibals and anti-cannibals fought each other constantly. Businesses or meeting points were set up where the anti-cannibals gathered to plan to demoralize the anthropophagi and their unnatural practices, to dissolve them from the politics of the country and even from society itself.
But the hateful activities of the anti-cannibals only fueled the inevitable, until, under conditions that were miserable for the cannibals, a cry of satisfaction filled their hearts, for the cannibal law had finally been passed after five years of struggle and effort. This law had its conditions, for murder was illegal and cannibals could not fatten and kill a person to eat him just like that. A person had to give himself voluntarily to another person who practiced cannibalism, leaving a record by means of a notarized contract filed with the Public Ministry and accepting the conditions and rules of both parties according to the law.
There were countries that began to follow the example of England and its new cannibal law, introducing it into their laws adding some details, as well as there were also anti-cannibal nations that prohibited and severely persecuted this practice. Fortunately for Gregorio, he lived in a nation where cannibalism was legal, and he was about to seal a contract with the Lautrels, a cannibal family that has been practicing this activity for ten years. Anti-cannibal laws, as well as cannibal laws still clashed with each other, to the point of provoking wars, but the world, from this point on, was already changing forever.
