Hello hello Hive community, especially those little people who love literature, and worlds through pages.
This is the first time I review a book, I hadn't been in love with a story for a long time and without finding a book that hooked me, that wasn't so long and also that its story was perfect.
This review is totally personal, since I thought it was a great book, but in the same way if you have read this or others by the author, I would like you to leave your opinion in the comments.

El chico que dibujaba constelaciones es una novela romántica, no me atrevería a decir que sólo juvenil, porque siento que es una historia bastante completa, y que podría ser leída por distintas edades. Fue un libro publicado por primera vez en el 2018 y reeditado en el 2020. La historia es narrada por Valentina su protagonista, y va desde los años 60 más o menos a finales, hasta el siglo xxi que básicamente es esta nueva era.
Cuenta la historia de Valentina y Gabriel, su mágico amor y empieza con la forma en la que se conocieron. Valentina era una chica de campo, no sabía leer ni escribir, se había mudado a la ciudad con sus padres y trabajaba como niñera para poder ayudar en casa.
Conoce a Gabriel de manera fortuita, en una de sus salidas por las tardes, en las que debía comprar pan para llevarlo a casa de la señora Goméz donde trabajaba.
Gabriel es diferente, es mayor que ella, es revolucionario, con carácter y siempre defensor de sus propias ideas. Amaba leer, estudiaba Filosofía y letras, y desde el primer momento quiso ayudar a Valentina porque él sabía que tenía el mundo a sus pies. Es así como cada tarde empiezan a coincidir y él le promete enseñarle a leer, que leerían juntos todos los libros que quisiera con tal de que ella se comprometiera en hacerlo.
Es de esta manera que inicia la historia de amor más real que leído, un amor con altibajos, una aventura que perdura en el tiempo a medida que vas leyendo la historia. Esta se va dividiendo por décadas, la primera la de "Aquellos maravillosos sesenta" en dónde se conocen, empiezan a enamorarse, se casan, compran su primera casa y dar pie a una vida juntos. Luego los 70, 80, 90 y el siglo xxi, lo cuál marca la nueva era para ellos.
Lo más bonito era ver como crecían, cómo se superaban, cómo pasaban los años y pasase lo que pasase el amor seguía, eran el uno para el otro. Ves a los personajes a travesar una primera pérdida, vacíos en el hogar, desacuerdos, reencuentros consigo mismos y con la pareja, la ilusión de un nuevo trabajo, su primera hija, cómo cada momento bueno o malo formaba una constelación.
Además su amor recorrió décadas, años en los que pasaron de la peseta al euro, presenciaron la caída del muro de Berlín, pero ellos estaban intactos a pesar de las tormentas.
A medida que avanza la lectura, los ves tener sus hijos, los ves ir envejeciendo, incluso teniendo problemas en los que sintieron distancia entre ellos y que se iban perdiendo las tradiciones, pero ahí es donde justamente entra la esencia del libro, la de demostrar que el amor no es solo amar si no estar, es quererse bonito desde el día uno, es poder entender los defectos del otro, Valentina y Gabriel se prometieron un para siempre y realmente eso fue lo que tuvieron.
Cuando ya se dan cuenta que no son tan jóvenes, que los hijos también deciden tomar su rumbo , que ya son mayores y tienen su vida, buscan que hacer para llenar esa sensación del nido vacío. Es así cómo el amor que comenzó en los sesenta, decide que la vida es sólo una como para no darse la oportunidad de conocer el mundo antes de que se le vayan los últimos años.
The Boy Who Drew Constellations is a romance novel, I wouldn't dare to say only juvenile, because I feel it's a pretty complete story, and could be read by different ages. It was a book first published in 2018 and re-released in 2020. The story is narrated by Valentina its main character, and it goes from the 60's more or less at the end, to the xxi century which is basically this new era.
It tells the story of Valentina and Gabriel, their magical love and starts with how they met. Valentina was a country girl, she couldn't read or write, she had moved to the city with her parents and worked as a nanny to help out at home.
She met Gabriel by chance, on one of her afternoon outings, when she had to buy bread to take it to Mrs. Gomez's house where she worked.
Gabriel is different, he is older than her, he is revolutionary, with character and always defending his own ideas. He loved to read, he studied philosophy and literature, and from the first moment he wanted to help Valentina because he knew that he had the world at his feet. That is how every afternoon they began to meet and he promised to teach her to read, that they would read together all the books she wanted as long as she was committed to do it.
This is how the most real love story ever read begins, a love with ups and downs, an adventure that lasts in time as you read the story. It is divided by decades, the first one "Those wonderful sixties" where they meet, start to fall in love, get married, buy their first house and start a life together. Then the 70's, 80's, 90's and the 21st century, which marks the new era for them.
The most beautiful thing was to see how they grew up, how they overcame each other, how the years went by and whatever happened, love continued, they were there for each other. You see the characters through a first loss, emptiness at home, disagreements, reunions with themselves and with their partner, the illusion of a new job, their first daughter, how each good or bad moment formed a constellation.
In addition, their love spanned decades, years in which they went from the peseta to the euro, witnessed the fall of the Berlin Wall, but they were intact despite the storms.
As the reading progresses, you see them having their children, you see them getting older, even having problems in which they felt distance between them and that they were losing their traditions, but that is exactly where the essence of the book comes in, to show that love is not only to love but to be, is to love each other from day one, is to be able to understand each other's defects, Valentina and Gabriel promised each other forever and that is what they really had.
When they realize that they are not so young, that their children also decide to take their own course, that they are older and have their own life, they look for what to do to fill that feeling of the empty nest. This is how the love that began in the sixties, decides that there is only one life, so as not to give themselves the opportunity to get to know the world before the last years are gone.
Lo que más me atrapó del libro es que uno empieza creyendo que es un amor cliché y ya, pero no, narra cosas de la realidad, te muestra como la pareja debe ser tu apoyo, la manera en que te debe impulsar a crecer, y si son tan sentimentales y empalagosos cómo yo, van a llorar en algunas partes con lo lindo que se tratan, con la forma única que tienen de ser ellos mismos, y de que la única formúla, si es que existe una, para que los amores perduren, es seguir enamorándose cada día más, viéndose de la misma manera que en el día uno, y no dejando nada para después, porque muchas veces los silencios pesan.
Si tuviese que calificarlo le daría un 4.8/5, sólo porque el final deja un vacío inmeso, pero es de esperarse.
What caught me the most about the book is that you start believing that it is a cliché love and that's it, but no, it narrates things of reality, it shows you how your partner should be your support, the way they should push you to grow, and if you are as sentimental and cloying as I am, you will cry in some parts with how beautifully they treat each other, with the unique way they have of being themselves, and that the only way, if there is one, for love to last, is to keep falling in love more and more each day, seeing each other in the same way as on day one, and not leaving anything for later, because many times silences weigh.
If I had to rate it I would give it a 4.8/5, only because the ending leaves an immense emptiness, but it is to be expected.

La verdad amiga este librowme sacó unas cuantas lágrimas jajajaj, creo que la nostalgia que transmite este libro es uno de sus puntos favoritos, también el cómo está narrado al menos para mí se me hizo muy fácil de leer pero al igual que tú cuando leí la sinopsis no me convenció mucho pero después no me arrepiento para nada, definitivamente lo recomiendo.
Es un libro hermoso, es ligero de leer. La historia es tan fresca no sé jajaja, para mí tiene su toque de magia o algo que atrapa y por eso hace que lo queramos terminar o al menos en mi caso. Y sí, uno llora un poquito en ciertas partes. Gracias por leerme💓
