Leer es una de las cosas que amo hacer, tengo algunos meses que no incluyo una nueva lectura en mi rutina, y debo confesarles que me siento un poco mal. A pesar de haber leído muchos libros en mi vida no todos son destacados, pero en esta ocasión les presentare uno que sin duda vale la pena leer.
Reading is one of the things I love to do, I have a few months that I do not include a new reading in my routine, and I must confess that I feel a little bad. Although I have read many books in my life, not all of them are outstanding, but this time I will introduce you to one that is definitely worth reading.

El Juicio Final de John Katzenbach, fue publicado en 1995, pero esta servidora lo descubrió a mediados del 2014, esto gracias a una prima que me lo recomendó y me presto el libro en físico. En un primer momento no me llamo la atención, su título no lo considero el más atractivo, además muchas personas cercanas pensaban que era un libro religioso que trataba sobre temas espirituales… luego comprendí que era por su título y sus 592 páginas de historia.
The Last Judgment by John Katzenbach, was published in 1995, but this servant discovered it in mid-2014, thanks to a cousin who recommended it to me and lent me the book in physical form. At first I did not call my attention, its title I do not consider it the most attractive, also many people close to me thought it was a religious book that dealt with spiritual themes... then I understood that it was because of its title and its 592 pages of history.
El libro es sumamente bueno, lamentablemente no he tenido la oportunidad de leer otras obras de este autor, así que no puedo compararla, pero si les puedo decir que, si el misterio y el suspenso es lo suyo, este es el libro correcto, a pesar de que es largo y el número de páginas puede asustar a muchos, nunca pierdes el interés y el suspenso de saber que versión es verdad, te deja colgado desde el principio. Sus 592 hojas fueron aprovechas de manera muy inteligente, el autor hace un buen desarrollo de los personajes, crea escenas y eventos donde cada detalle es descrito y cada situación te hacen sentir el protagonista.
The book is extremely good, unfortunately I have not had the opportunity to read other works by this author, so I can not compare it, but I can tell you that, if mystery and suspense is your thing, this is the right book, although it is long and the number of pages can scare many, you never lose interest and suspense to know which version is true, it leaves you hanging from the beginning. Its 592 pages were used in a very intelligent way, the author makes a good development of the characters, creates scenes and events where every detail is described and every situation makes you feel the protagonist.
Katzenbach, sin duda alguna juega con tu mente y llega a confundirte de la misma forma en la que se encuentra Matthew Cowart su protagonista principal, cuestionando si esté hizo lo correcto y si tu apoyaste las acciones correctas. La trama gira entorno a Cowart, un periodista famoso de la ciudad de Miami quien un día recibe la carta de un condenado a muerte llamado Robert Earl Fergurson, quien alega ser inocente y muestra pruebas suficientes para convencer al periodista de ayudarlo a obtener su libertad, el problema comienza cuando luego de ayudarlo el periodista se percata que no todo es lo que parece y duda si realmente hizo lo correcto.
Katzenbach, without a doubt, plays with your mind and confuses you in the same way as Matthew Cowart, the main character, questioning if he did the right thing and if you supported the right actions. The plot revolves around Cowart, a famous journalist in the city of Miami who one day receives a letter from a death row inmate named Robert Earl Fergurson, who claims to be innocent and shows enough evidence to convince the journalist to help him obtain his freedom, the problem begins when after helping him the journalist realizes that not everything is what it seems and doubts if he really did the right thing.
La narrativa de los hechos te atrapa por completo y en cada capítulo te deja completamente intrigado, además que su final es completamente inesperado. Este libro tiene una adaptación cinematográfica, no me gustó mucho, porque creo que con esa historia pudieron haberle sacado más provecho, pero para la época está bien, la película fue estrenada en 1995, y realmente me agradaría ver una adaptación actualizada de esta obra.
The narrative of the events traps you completely and in each chapter leaves you completely intrigued, plus the ending is completely unexpected. This book has a film adaptation, I didn't like it very much, because I think that with that story they could have made more out of it, but for the time it is fine, the movie was released in 1995, and I would really like to see an updated adaptation of this work.
