The writer is like entering a world parallel to my own, like living inside a very real fantasy, it causes me shocking experiences at the moment of reading it.
In this case, reading his work "The Dead Zone " transported me to his world, the way of writing and expression make us readers focus so well that it makes our imagination fly all over the place without the slightest effort.
The work tells us the story of Johnny Smith, (in the 70's) The story begins from childhood, in which our protagonist hits his head hard trying to get one of his favorite ice skaters to see how he can imitate him perfectly, however, he stumbles with another player older than him and falls causing such an incident. Years later Johnny becomes a school teacher in Maine with his girlfriend (Sarah).
They decide to go out one day to a small fair in the town where they live, but Johnny is injured in a car accident and remains in a coma for five years, during which his girlfriend Sarah decides to marry another man and start a family with him. Johnny's mother (Vera) becomes a religious woman and always prays for her son to come out of his tortuous coma.
When he wakes up from the coma, somewhat confused and scared for missing so many years of his life and those of his loved ones, but not only that but also the fact that he now possesses a special gift of touching people and seeing their future events.
When people found out they accused him of being an impostor but later they realize the truth thanks to the fact that all his predictions came true.
It not only tells us about Jhonny but also about Greg Stillson, a senator who is not interested in getting his hands dirty in order to rise to become president through his Machiavellian plans, but Jhonny realizes all his plans, he now has the power to make all his evil plans unfulfilled; although he is in a maze of trouble for being afraid to tell everyone the truth about his future president, he is afraid they will not believe him, but it tortured him to know the truth and not be able to make a decision about it, everyone had to know, he cannot stay in the dead zone and pretend nothing is happening, Jhonny must act soon or the world they all know could be severely damaged.
Stephen surprises us more and more with every book he writes, for me the experience of reading this work was quite amazing, the way he tells us the story makes me feel as if it was me who lived it. Admirable and magnificent are the right words to talk about his creations.

Cada lectura que hago sobre los libros de este fascinante escritor es como emprender a un mundo paralelo al mío, como vivir dentro de una fantasía muy real, me causa experiencias impactantes al momento de leerlo.
En este caso, al leer su obra “La zona muerta” me transporté a su mundo, la manera de escritura y de expresión hacen que los lectores nos enfoquemos tan bien que logra que nuestra imaginación vuele por todos lados sin el más mínimo esfuerzo.
La obra nos relata la historia de Johnny Smith, (en los años 70) La historia comienza desde la infancia, en el cual nuestro protagonista se golpea fuertemente la cabeza por intentar que uno de sus patinadores de hielo favoritos vea como puede imitarlo a la perfección, sin embargo, este se tropieza con otro jugador mayor que él y cae ocasionando tal incidente. Años después Johnny se convierte en maestro de una escuela en Maine junto con su novia (Sarah).
Ambos deciden salir un día a una pequeña feria del pueblo donde viven el cual Jhonny resulta herido en un accidente automovilístico y queda en coma durante cinco años, en los cuales su novia Sarah toma la decisión de casarse con otro hombre y formar una familia con el mismo. La madre de Jhonny (Vera) se convierte en una mujer religiosa y reza siempre porque su hijo salga del tortuoso coma.
Al despertar de dicho coma, algo confundido y asustado por haberse perdido tantos años de su vida y de la de sus seres queridos, pero no solo eso sino también el hecho de que ahora posee un don especial al tocar a las personas y ver sus acontecimientos futuros.
Cuando las personas se enteraron lo acusaron de impostor pero más adelante se dan cuenta de la verdad gracias a que todas sus predicciones se cumplieron.
No solo nos relata sobre Jhonny sino también de Greg Stillson, un senador el cual no le interesa ensuciar sus manos para poder ascender a presidente por medio de sus planes maquiavélicos, pero Jhonny se da cuenta de todos sus planes, él ahora tiene el poder de hacer que todos sus planes malvados no se cumplan; aunque está en un laberinto de problemas por tener miedo de decirles a todos la verdad sobre su futuro presidente, teme que no le crean, pero le torturaba saber la verdad y no poder tomar una decisión sobre ello, todos debían saber, no puede quedarse en la zona muerta y fingir que nada pasa, Jhonny debe actuar pronto o el mundo que todos conocen podría ser gravemente perjudicado.
Stephen nos sorprende cada vez más con cada libro que escribe, para mí la experiencia de leer esta obra fue bastante sorprendente, la forma en la que nos relata la historia me hace sentir como si fuera yo quien la vivió. Admirable y magnifico son las palabras correctas para hablar de sus creaciones.
