How Do We Choose The Highlighted Posts?

All of you must be wondering how we picked the authors who get into the highlight. As some of the good curation projects out there, our highlighted authors are also handpicked to ensure that we diversify the content and the recommendations in the highlight. We want this highlight to be a place where people get inspiration, a place to learn something new, and even finding a recommendation.

Hence, throughout the week, the moderators will check the community and manually hand pick the posts. Some factors includes : the post subject, post quality, engagement, personal voice, and general effort.

AuthorTitleDescription
@freidimar18Don quijote de la mancha de Miguel de Cervantes — Reseña [ENG-ESP]"So, Let's talk about the book! First of all, the main characters of the book are Don Quixote and his squire Sancho Panza. So, Don Quixote is a nobleman, an upper middle class man, and Sancho Panza is his neighbor, of humble origin and little education. The book begins by narrating the adventures and misadventures of a 50-year-old nobleman named Alonso Quijano, who decides to become a knight-errant like those who appear in his favorite books of chivalry..."
@kemmybReview Of Archangel's Consort By Nalini Singh"This third book concentrates mainly on the growth of Archangel Raphael’s and Elena's relationship. This couple faced some opposition from other members of the Cadre who felt Elena was far beneath Raphael because she was once a human being now turned angel. I commend the author for her smooth style of writing and how well developed and relatable her characters are. She has a way of drawing in her readers such that one would feel at home with the characters and the scenes. I enjoyed the twists and turns in this book with the mix of romance and humor to soften the mysteries and intrigue in it."
@bertrayoA Parable, Post-Apocalyptic America, A Deep Sense of Dread and Hope."The Post-Apocalyptic nature of the setting in this novel is one born from economic situations. An sky-rocketing inflation has hit The United States so hard that most jobs do not pay wages, water has become a commodity, cops are abusing their power to the extreme, poor become poorer, and society devolves into gangs, walled communities, peddlers and travelers. People wander the highways looking for better places to stay and jobs to do..."
@daysiselena[ENG/ESP] Learning to Read by Bruno Bettelheim and Karen Zelan (Review) / Aprender a leer de Bruno Bettelheim y Karen Zelan (Reseña)"This book makes us see that knowing how to really read is of vital importance for the life of a child, to the point that the way in which he learns will determine his thinking about learning and even, believe it or not, of himself as person. In most schools, in which I involve many private and practically all public ones, the child is not encouraged or motivated to read, and even, many times they are put to read texts where the illustrations saturate the pages and where the words are very few and it is precisely one of the points that this work deals with...
