How difficult it has been for me to talk about love books without resorting to cheesiness, for me it is quite complicated to talk about something romantic and that is really good, something that I can share and recommend to everyone, so much so that I hate reading anything related to the subject, or so I thought. The moment I saw what this month's contest was about I got upset because I thought I hadn't read anything romantic and I started going through lists of romantic books and that's when I realized that I had read more than I had thought (actually there have been more than I'd like to admit): Pride and Prejudice, Memoirs of a Geisha, P. D. I Love You, The Bridges of Madison County, Wuthering Heights, are several of the romance titles that I have read, that I can talk about sometime (and that you will see upcoming reviews of) and that I can recommend with my eyes closed.
From the list I just mentioned I'm going to choose the most beautiful, romantic and heartbreaking of all, one that brought tears to my eyes and that surpasses any resemblance to the movie it was adapted to.

P.D. Te Amo. De Celia Ahern
The Plot:
Many of us spend many years looking for the love of our lives, but in the case of Holly and Gerry, they found it at an early age, a love that was supposed to last forever. They were an inseparable, unconditional couple, with problems like any other couple, but a great deal of romance. Until one day Gerry fell seriously ill, he was diagnosed with cancer and during his terminal stage he created a plan for Holly to suffer less during her time of grief: "The list", a list that both created of things they should do and could never complete, this list came with a series of letters to open each month, these letters were accompanied by the signature: P.S. I love you.
The characters:
Holly Kennedy, the widow, her attitude is that of any woman who has just lost the man of her life, a young widow who has lost the will to live, and who, thanks to the help of her friends and family, is trying to survive the tragedy.
The autor:
Cecelia Ahern was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1981. In 2004, when she was only 23 years old, she published her first book "P.S. I love you ", which sold a million copies and was even made into a movie version starring Hillary Swank and Gerard Buttler. Cecelia has been quite prolific in her career, she has 15 books published, many of them successful. I think I've read about 7 of her books and although some are very bland, she has some excellent ones.

This is one of the many cases where I can say that the book is better than the movie, but in this case it is 1000% better. Being a movie buff, I can accept the adaptations for what they are and I avoid making the comparisons between books and movies, but there are cases of cases, when there is romance involved, you have to do something extraordinary to match them in genius, in the case of this one, it was not, but if I had not seen the movie, I could not have come up with the book or the other books by the author.

What I liked most about the plot is the evolution of the main character, how she continues to love the memory of her husband and how, with his help, he helps her to overcome his absence without leaving aside the love they once felt. I think it is a great book that could help many people who are grieving, and although the book is about the love that two people had, a couple who had a whole future ahead, we could adopt it to any example of our life. When we lose a loved one it will always be difficult to overcome, it is up to us to hold on to the loss or learn to live with it. We will never forget those who were once with us; death is just part of life, and we must be clear that all those who are with us at any moment will cease to exist, and that not because of this, life has to end for us, that we are allowed to be happy and that we must continue to live. Maybe it is considered a cliché, but it is so, Life goes on, even if it is difficult for us to accept. I remember reading it and crying between sobs because of all the feeling it conveys. And tears come to my eyes remembering my loved ones as I write these last words.
Always remember, life must go on. Love is forever.
Recuérdenlo siempre, la vida debe continuar. El amor es para siempre.

¡Bueno, bueno!
