Regata Connection (part 2)
In a way, illness also protects us from the world. When I am with her, compassion leaves no room for the arrogance and bullying of others. Illness protects us and teaches others compassion.
Seeing such a small body accompany such large eyes, people are touched. The most superficial or rigid ones are unmasked in attitudes of nervousness and discomfort.
On the one hand, the disease confines them to a destiny already marked and decided by time, on the other hand, it develops all human potential. Every disease can be conquered. Where medicine does not arrive, faith, heart and love do. Adriana has faith to spare and her faith consists in doing good to others.
In Buddhism, an altruistic person who dedicates his life to the good of others is called a Bodhisattva. She develops this gift in this life, showing it to the world around her, sometimes in spite of herself. The primary reason for her existence is love for others, sometimes hidden, suffered, lived with guilt and silent. Perhaps deep down she does not feel she deserves to be healed, or perhaps she knows and feels that her illness would have taught us to listen to our hearts, healing us. His words comfort those who have open ears to love their neighbour.
Many people pass by the house: friends, relatives, acquaintances and fellow believers who have come to attend the countless exciting meetings. His presence encourages people to talk and the house becomes a temple.
We feel a little out of the norm, a mother increasingly unable to move but freer to be herself and a son who has to simultaneously care for her and think about growing up. The purchase of the Regatta is an attempt to return to normality.
This car has a soul, a reason to exist that is more important than mere transport or status symbol. The Regata is a fil rouge that links various phases of life that would otherwise be more distant and detached.
Just as Charon with his ship connects purgatory to hell, so the Regatta accompanies me from the most anguished places in life to the most carefree moments.

Regata Connection (parte 2)
In un certo senso anche la malattia ci protegge dal mondo. Quando sono con lei, la pietà non lascia spazio all’arroganza e alla prepotenza degli altri. La malattia ci protegge e insegna agli altri la compassione.
Vedendo un corpo così piccolo accompagnare degli occhi così grandi le persone rimangono colpite. Le più superficiali o rigide vengono smascherate in atteggiamenti di nervosismo e di disagio.
La malattia, da un lato la confina a un destino già segnato e deciso dal tempo, dall’altro sviluppa tutto il potenziale umano. Ogni malattia può essere vinta. Là dove la medicina non arriva, arriva la fede, il cuore e l’amore. Adriana di fede ne ha da vendere e la sua fede consiste nel fare del bene agli altri.
Nel buddismo una persona altruista che dedica la vita al bene degli altri si chiama Bodhisattva. Lei sviluppa questa dote in questa vita, mostrandola al mondo intorno a lei, talvolta malgrado lei stessa. La ragione primaria della sua esistenza è l’amore verso gli altri, talvolta nascosto, sofferto, vissuto col senso di colpa e silenzioso. Forse in fondo non si sente meritevole di guarire, o forse sa e sente che il suo ammalarsi ci avrebbe insegnato a ascoltare il cuore, guarendoci. Le sue parole confortano chi ha orecchie aperte all’amore verso il prossimo.
Molte persone transitano da casa: amici, amiche, parenti, conoscenti e compagni di fede venuti ad assistere alle innumerevoli e entusiasmanti riunioni. La sua presenza incoraggia le persone a parlare e la casa diventa un tempio.
Ci sentiamo un po’ fuori dalla norma, una madre sempre più impossibilitata nei movimenti ma più libera di essere se stessa e un figlio che deve contemporaneamente accudire lei e pensare a diventare grande. L’acquisto della Regata è un tentativo di ritornare alla normalità.
Quest’automobile ha un’anima, una ragione di esistere più importante del semplice trasporto o dello status symbol. La Regata è un fil rouge che collega varie fasi della vita che altrimenti sarebbero più distanti e staccate.
Come Caronte con la sua nave collega il purgatorio all’inferno, così la Regata mi accompagna dai più angosciosi luoghi della vita, ai momenti più spensierati.

There are infinite ways to experience this virtual universe, one of the most popular and universal being to transcend death and/or illness with thoughts and emotions. Of course, at first glance it may seem like a struggle between titans, but then we discover that it is more a struggle within ourselves, and finally that it is not even a struggle so much as a journey to discover who we are. Entropy always increases, emtropy is linked to information, that is, what we thought impossible yesterday becomes possible and we discover that we are the creators. Discovering who we are beyond the cultural and educational reality into which we have decided to be born I think is one of the most beautiful gifts we can give ourselves. Certainly it involves experiencing and then overcoming many states of suffering, but at the same time 'you were not made to live like brutes, but to follow virtue and knowledge', which is to say that suffering is, in my opinion, inevitable at times, especially in those moments before discovering new truths or knowledge. It could also be said that the suffering of both illness and death can bring with it the desire to know, to know, to discover the truth, especially if we then manage to tell this truth around us, express it in a post, a song, a drawing, a painting, a video, a chat between friends. This song recounts the invisible, but real link that exists between me being in this part of the universe 'down here' and my madra's soul residing somewhere else 'up there'. Illusion makes us believe they are separate, when in fact they are connected. This song also shows the birth with which one learns to live without one's mother. In other words, separateness must be experienced 100 per cent otherwise we would not be able to have the experience that drives us to desire the truth, to desire to discover the workings of this holographic universe. Down here it is like the umbilical cord that connects what is separate.

Ci sono infiniti modi per fare esperienza in questo universo virtuale, uno di quelli più popolari e universali è trascendere la morte e/o la malattia con pensieri ed emozioni. Certamente può sembrare a prima vista una lotta tra titani, mentre poi scopriamo che invece è più una lotta dentro di noi, e infine che non si tratta neanche di una lotta quanto di una viaggio per scoprire chi siamo. L'entropia aumenta sempre, l'emtropia è legata all'informazione, ovvero quello che ieri ritenevamo impossibile diventa possibile e scopriamo di essere noi i creatori. Scoprire chi siamo al di là della realtà culturale e educativa nella quale abbiamo deciso di nascere penso sia uno dei più bei regali che possiamo farci. Certamente comporta il vivere e poi superare anche tanti stati di sofferenza, ma allo stesso tempo "fatti non foste per viver come bruti par per seguir virtute e canoscenza" ovvero che la sofferenza è a mio avviso, inevitabile talvolta, soprattutto in quei momenti che precedono l'aver scoperto nuove verità o conoscenze. Si potrebbe anche dire che la sofferenza sia della malattia sia della morte possono portare con sè il desidero di conoscere, sapere, scoprire la verità, soprattutto se poi questa verità riusciamo a raccontarla intorno a noi, la esprimiamo con un post, con una canzone, un disegno, una pittura, un video, una chiacchierata tra amici. Questa canzone racconta il legame invisibile, ma reale che esiste tra me che sono in questa zona dell'universo "quaggiù" e l'anima di mia madra che risiede da un'altra parte "lassù". L'illusione ce le fa credere separate, mentre invece sono collegate. Questa canzone si vede anche la nascita con la quale s'impara a vivere senza la madre. In altri termini la separaziome va vissuta al 100% altrimenti non potremmo farne l'esperienza che ci spinge a desiderare la verità, desiderare scoprire il funzionamento di questo universo olografico. Quaggiù è come il cordone ombellicale che collega ciò che è separato.
