Good morning dear community! How nice it is to participate in these contests that allow us to show part of our lives through reading.
The readings we often do are a faithful sample of what we like, of what we seek and aim in our lives; some say that we are what we read.
I don't know if it is exactly like that, but I am convinced that through reading we stimulate our creativity, it improves our communication, we can get very good lessons and it will give us a better understanding of everything around us.
Today the #ocd community, together with #hivebookclub propose to the HIVE community to talk about our favorite readings, which would be talking about a part of us.
When I have free time I try to dedicate it to reading as it offers us to immerse ourselves in a parallel world, feeding our imagination and offering us a refuge from the worries of everyday life. As for my personal tastes among my favorite authors are Richard Bach and Paulo Coelho, since I get a lot of teachings from their books and they are a great source of personal inspiration.
I also read books that tell life stories, as well as articles related to economics and finance.
One of the books that I have liked the most is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. I think it is a great book that tells the journey of the shepherd Santiago in search of the treasure that often appeared to him through dreams.
So it was that after some time and analyzing his decision, Santiago decides to undertake the journey to find out if his dreams were real.
Through his journey Santiago leaves us many teachings regarding the realization of personal goals and our dreams despite the obstacles that are presented on the way to them.
In the book we can find several times that he talks about the "Personal Legend" or what each one of us came to fulfill in this world, and that many times we are discouraged to achieve by certain preconceptions or prejudices, or perhaps by the fear of leaving our comfort zone.
Although the book is fundamentally about destiny and the pursuit of dreams, there is also a place for love, as the author says that when love is true, it is not an obstacle in the realization of our dreams and our Personal Legend, which is reflected in this sentence of the book
"Love never prevents a man from following his Personal Legend. When this happens, it is because it was not true Love, that which speaks the Language of the World."
With The Alchemist Paulo Coelho leaves us many messages that we can understand them as learnings towards self-improvement.
There we will find several teachings among which we can highlight:
- That fear is always our biggest obstacle to fulfill our dreams and is generally related to the unknown.
- That self-confidence is essential to achieve our personal growth.
- To learn not to give up despite the bad experiences you have gone through.
- Keeping active and making mistakes is part of our learning process.
- That true love is not an obstacle for the realization of our goals.
- To live more in the present and leave aside the past and the future.
- Individual success has a positive effect on our environment. When we learn, when we grow, it conspires so that our environment does too.
In short, personally I think it is a great work with many teachings that marked part of my personal growth and is part of my favorite readings. The Pilgrim by the same author is also among my favorite readings that I usually return to from time to time.
Another of the most acclaimed authors that exists from my point of view is Richard Bach with his great book JUAN SALVADOR GAVIOTA.
Through a simple story of the life of a seagull, the author manages to tell us an incredible story of self-improvement.
A seagull named Juan Salvador lived with his flock, but he was not just another seagull, he was different because he was not satisfied with doing what a normal seagull should do, he had dreams and desires that were far away from what a seagull should be.

This led him to be banished from the flock and to have to go alone to pursue his great dream of being what he loved so much, to fly. He defied the limits and on his way to his dreams he had to give up things, while gaining others, but the important thing is that Juan Salvador would never give up his dreams.
Juan Salvador dreamed of doing things that no seagull had ever done before. His determination and ambition were decisive in achieving the perfection in flight that he dreamed of, but his road to get there was far from easy. On more than one occasion he fell down, but he always got up again beyond any pain he might have felt, always keeping his ideals and dreams in mind.
Juan Salvador achieved what we all long for, he was free, he achieved his dreams and did not allow the will of the flock to stand between him and his goals.
In short, a great story of sacrifice and above all of self-improvement.
From reading his pages I always learn something new and I wonder how much we have yet to learn as he did!
Never give up on your dreams, because if we set our minds to it, nothing can come between us and our dreams. Let's fight every day for what we want so much and let's dare to be free.
Another of the great works of this author that managed to captivate my soul is Illusions. A beautiful and entertaining book from beginning to end that gives us many teachings and makes us connect with our inner self.
Without a doubt, if I had to choose the book that marked my life it is Juan Salvador Gaviota, because of its story and how it marked me; maybe also because I started reading it when I was a child.

¡Muy buenos días querida comunidad! Qué lindo es participar en estos concursos que permiten mostrar parte de nuestras vidas a través de la lectura.
Las lecturas que hacemos a menudo son una fiel muestra de lo que nos gusta, de lo que buscamos y apuntamos en nuestras vidas; algunos dicen que somos lo que leemos.
No sé si será exactamente así , pero soy un convencido que a través de la lectura estimulamos nuestra creatividad, mejora nuestra comunicación, podemos obtener muy buenas enseñanzas y nos dará une mejor comprensión de todo lo que nos rodea.
Hoy la comunidad #ocd, junto con #hivebookclub proponen a la comunidad de HIVE poder hablar de nuestras lecturas favoritas, lo cual sería hablar de una parte de nosotros.
Cuando tengo tiempo libre trato de dedicarlo a la lectura ya que nos ofrece sumirnos en un mundo paralelo, alimentando nuestra imaginación y ofreciéndonos un refugio a las preocupaciones del día a día. En cuanto a mis gustos personales entre mis autores favoritos se encuentran Richard Bach y Paulo Coelho, ya que de sus libros obtengo gran cantidad de enseñanzas y son una gran fuente de inspiración personal.
También suelo leer libros que cuentan historias de vida, y también artículos relacionados con economía y finanzas.
Uno de los libros que más me ha gustado es El Alquimista de Paulo Coelho. Me parece que es un gran libro que relata el viaje del pastor Santiago en busca del tesoro que con cierta frecuencia se le presentaba a través de los sueños.
Fue así que después de algún tiempo y de analizar su decisión, Santiago decide emprender el viaje para averiguar si sus sueños eran reales.
A través de su viaje Santiago nos deja muchas enseñanzas respecto a la concreción de las metas personales y de nuestros sueños a pesar de los obstáculos que se vayan presentando en el camino hacia ellos.
En el libro podemos encontrar varias veces que habla de la “Leyenda Personal” o de lo que cada uno de nosotros vino a cumplir en este mundo, y que muchas veces nos vemos desincentivados a alcanzar por determinados preconceptos o prejuicios, o quizá por el miedo a salir de nuestra zona de confort.
Si bien el destino el libro trata fundamentalmente sobre el destino y la búsqueda de los sueños, también hay lugar para el amor ya que dice el autor que cuando el amor es verdadero este no supone un obstáculo en la concreción de nuestros sueños y de nuestra Leyenda Personal que se refleja en esta frase del libro
“El amor nunca impide a un hombre seguir su Leyenda Personal. Cuando esto sucede, es porque no era el verdadero Amor, aquel que habla el Lenguaje del Mundo.”
Con El Alquimista Paulo Coelho nos deja muchos mensajes que podemos entenderlos como aprendizajes hacia la superación personal.
Allí encontraremos varias enseñanzas entre las que podemos destacar:
- Que el miedo es siempre nuestro mayor obstáculo para cumplir nuestros sueños y generalmente se relaciona con lo desconocido.
- Que la confianza en sí mismo en esencial para lograr nuestro crecimiento personal
- Aprender a no bajar los brazos a pesar de las malas experiencias que hayas pasado
- Mantenerse activo y equivocarse es parte de nuestro aprendizaje.
- Que el amor verdadero no es un obstáculo para la concreción de nuestras metas.
- A vivir más en el presente y dejar un poco de lado el pasado y el futuro.
- El éxito individual tiene un efecto positivo en nuestro entorno. Cuando aprendemos, cuando crecemos ello conspira para que nuestro entorno también lo haga.
En fin, en lo personal creo que es una gran obra con muchas enseñanzas que marcaron parte de mi crecimiento personal y forma parte de mis lecturas favoritas. El Peregrino de este mismo autor también se encuentra entre mis lecturas favoritas que suelo retomar cada tanto.
Otro de los autores más consagrados que existe desde mi punto de vista es Richard Bach con su gran libro JUAN SALVADOR GAVIOTA.
Por medio de una simple historia de la vida de una gaviota el autor logra plantearnos una increíble historia de superación personal.
Una gaviota llamada Juan Salvador vivía con su bandada, pero él no era una gaviota más, él era diferente ya que no se conformaba con hacer lo que hacía una gaviota normal debía hacer, sino que él tenía sueños y anhelos que estaban bien alejados de lo que una gaviota debería ser.
Esto llevo a que fuese desterrado de la bandada y a tener que recorrer solo ese gran sueño de ser lo que tanto amaba, volar. Desafió los límites y en su camino hacia sus sueños tuvo que resignar cosas, al tiempo que ganaba otras, pero lo importante es que Juan Salvador nunca renunciaría a sus sueños.
Juan Salvador soñaba con hacer cosas que ninguna gaviota había hecho hasta el momento. Su determinación y su ambición fueron determinantes para lograr la perfección en el vuelo que tanto soñaba, pero su camino hasta llegar allí no fue para nada sencillo. En más de una oportunidad se cayó, pero siempre se volvió a levantar más allá de cualquier dolor que pudiera sentir, siempre teniendo en claro sus ideales, sus sueños.
Juan Salvador logro lo que todos ansiamos, fue libre, alcanzó sus sueños y no permitió que la voluntad de la bandada se interpusiera entre él y sus metas.
En fin una gran historia de sacrificios y sobre todo de auto superación.
De leer sus páginas siempre aprendo algo nuevo y me pregunto, cuánto nos falta por aprender como él lo hizo!
Nunca abandonen sus sueños, porque si nos lo proponemos nada se podrá interpones entre nosotros y nuestros sueños. Luchemos cada día por eso que tanto queremos y animémonos a ser libres.
Otras de las grandes obras de este autor que logró cautivar mi alma es Ilusiones. Un libro bello y entretenidos de principio a fin que nos regala muchas enseñanzas y nos hace conectar con nuestro interior.
Sin dudas si tuviese que elegir el libro que marcó mi vida es Juan Salvador Gaviota, por su historia y como me marcó; quizá también porque lo comencé a leer de pequeño.
