To be honest I read this book as a kid, like very very early 20s or even teen years. The idea of fluid gender just rocked me to my core. I was totally thrilled that what I was THINKING wasnt that far out after all. And yes, I was reading at a time where gender ideas were very, very rigid. I can't recall that much else about it to be fair.
