Jamaica y guayaba, luego decidí sustituir la guayaba por el coco, ya que me gusta mucho por su frescura, sabor y textura cremosa, el resultado fue muy bueno y disfrutamos un delicioso helado en familia.

Greetings and blessings community lover of plant-based food in the world, I wish you a happy Sunday together with family and friends, today I share with you a #recipe to prepare Jamaica and Coconut ice cream; ideal for sharing with family and refresh us on a hot day; it is a delicious combination of flavors that you will surely like, it is simple to prepare and with few ingredients; initially I was going to prepare ice cream with Jamaica and guava, then I decided to substitute the guava for coconut, since I like it very much for its freshness, flavor and creamy texture, the result was very good and we enjoyed a delicious ice cream with the family.

PREPARACIÓN

Inicié quitando los pétalos a las flores de Jamaica, luego los lavé muy bien y llevé al fuego en 2, 5 litros de agua y dejé en cocción por 20 minutos, retiré y dejé enfriar.

PREPARATION

I started by removing the petals from the hibiscus flowers, then I washed them very well and put them in 2.5 liters of water and let them cook for 20 minutes, removed and let them cool.



Para hacer la leche de coco, con mucho cuidado retiré la concha del coco, saqué el agua, lavé y corté en cubos, llevé a la licuadora con 1 1/2 taza de agua y licué hasta obtener una mezcla homogénea y cremosa, luego colé y reservé.

To make the coconut milk, carefully remove the coconut shell, remove the water, wash and cut into cubes, put in the blender with 1 1/2 cups of water and blend until a homogeneous and creamy mixture is obtained, then strain and set aside.




Ya fría la Jamaica, llevé a la licuadora con 2 tazas de agua (el agua es la restante de la cocción), agregué azúcar y licué hasta integrar.

Once the Jamaica was cooled, I took it to the blender with 2 cups of water (the water is the rest of the cooking water), added sugar and blended until blended.


En un molde para helados agregué 2 cucharas de leche de coco a cada helado, luego llevé al refrigerador por 4 horas y puse las paletas.

In an ice cream mold I added 2 spoonfuls of coconut milk to each ice cream, then I took to the refrigerator for 4 hours and put the popsicles.



Pasadas las 4 horas saqué del refrigerador y agregué el jugo de Jamaica hasta llenar cada molde, puse las paleta a los moldes morados y llevé nuevamente al refrigerador por 5 horas.

After 4 hours I removed from the refrigerator and added the Jamaica juice to fill each mold, put the popsicles in the purple molds and took them back to the refrigerator for 5 hours.


Luego con mucho cuidado saqué los helados del molde y disfrutamos unos deliciosos y cremosos helados.

Then I carefully removed the popsicles from the molds and we enjoyed some delicious and creamy ice cream.
