(ENG-ESP) Exquisite sautéed peas with potatoes and carrots

Good evening Hivers, I wish you a happy start of the week.... Today, you will enjoy an exquisite dish, VERY healthy and nutritious. I will explain "step by step" the delicious recipe I prepared for dinner. Let's put on our aprons to prepare an appetizing "sautéed peas with potatoes and carrots".

Buenas noches Hivers, les deseo un feliz comienzo de semana... Hoy, disfrutarán de un exquisito platillo, MUY saludable y nutritivo. Les explicaré "paso a paso" la deliciosa receta que preparé para cenar. Pongámonos el delantal para elaborar un apetitoso "salteado de guisantes con patatas y zanahoria".

  • The ingredients I used were as follows: 2 potatoes, 1 carrot, 1 cup of peas (cooked), 1/2 red bell pepper, 1 onion, 4 cloves of garlic, pepper, coarse salt, mint and coriander (leaves and stems).
  • Los ingredientes que utilicé fueron los siguientes: 2 patatas, 1 zanahoria, 1 taza de guisantes (cocidos), 1/2 pimiento rojo, 1 cebolla, 4 dientes de ajo, pimienta, sal gruesa, yerbabuena y cilantro (hojas y tallos).

  • We will start cooking the "potatoes", cut into "medium" cubes, we will cut the "carrot" into "small" pieces. Add enough water to a deep pot, when it starts to boil add the potatoes and carrots, add 1 teaspoon of salt to the water.

  • Cook for approximately 15 minutes or until they have a "semi-soft" texture, I suggest NOT to leave them overcooked, as they will become soft when sautéed with the "peas".

  • Empezaremos cocinando las "patatas", cortamos en cubos "medianos", cortaremos la "zanahoria" en trozos "pequeños". Agregamos suficiente agua a una olla honda, cuando rompa el hervor agregamos las patatas junto con las zanahoria, colocamos 1 cucharadita de sal al agua.
  • Cocinamos aproximadamente durante 15 minutos o hasta comprobar que tomaron una textura "semi-blanda", les sugiero NO dejar muy cocidas, ya que terminaran de ablandarse al saltear con los "guisantes".

  • We reserve to use in the final step.

  • Add a touch of "olive oil" to a non-stick frying pan, fry the onion together with the garlic cloves (finely chopped). Cook until it takes a transparent texture.
  • Añadimos un toque de "aceite de oliva" a un sartén antiadherente, sofreímos la cebolla junto con los dientes de ajo (finamente cortados). Cocinamos hasta que tomen una textura transparente.

  • The "red" bell pepper will add a beautiful color and will give our dish a VERY tasty sweet touch!
  • El pimiento "rojo" aportará un hermoso colorido y le dará a nuestro platillo un toquesito dulzón MUY sabroso!

  • Add pepper and coarse salt. Add the reserved "peas", sauté over medium-low heat, mixing in an enveloping way.
  • Incorporamos pimienta y sal gruesa. Agregamos los "guisantes" que teníamos reservados, sofreímos a fuego "medio-bajo", mezclando de forma envolvente.

  • Next, integrate: potatoes, carrots, coriander(stems and leaves), mint (finely chopped). We reserve a small portion to decorate in the final step.
  • A continuación, integramos: las patatas, la zanahoria, cilantro (tallos y hojas), yerbabuena (finamente cortada). Reservamos una pequeña porción para decorar en el paso final.
