Homemade almond milk 🥛| Recipe in 5 easy steps [Eng-Esp]

For this recipe, we need 150 grams of almonds.

Step 1: Soak the almonds in cold water for 4 hours. This is to hydrate them.

After 4 hours we renew the water, for more cold water and leave for 4 more hours.

Step 2: Remove the shells from the almonds.

Note: If you do not want to remove the shell, you can proceed to the next step, but you should know that the taste of the almond milk will be different if the almond is in shell than when the shell is removed.

Step 3: Put the peeled almonds in the blender with 1.5 liters of water. Set the maximum speed and blend for 4 minutes, until it is a white and frothy mixture like milk.

Step 4: Once we have the mixture, we proceed to filter. We can use a fine cloth or 2 fine strainers so that only the liquid passes through.

Step 5: Finally, we filter one last time in a container, preferably a glass one with a hermetic lid, and we can refrigerate. It can be kept for up to 5 days in the refrigerator.

That does look good :) Is there a way to do it without a blender or food processor?

You could do it with a manual grinder, but do not add that amount of water at the moment of grinding the almonds, you would do it later. The electric processor facilitates the grinding process.
