Hi vegan lovers, today I will share again the recipe for a special pudding made from sweet corn. Corn is a type of plant that is rich in carbohydrates, which are good for your body, abundant vitamin content and a very good taste make corn in great demand by various groups, when processed into various types of food it does not remove the taste of the corn. Well, one of the delicious processed foods made from corn is a delicious dessert, namely special corn pudding.
Last week I went shopping at one of the traditional markets not far from my house. They sell a lot of corn on the outskirts of the market, I think it's the corn harvest season in our area. I chose to buy some sweet corn which was sold for 5 pieces of corn for IDR 10,000, I think this is very cheap. A few days ago, I was very busy with various activities, so I kept the corn in the refrigerator to keep it fresh, so today is the right time to process something delicious from this corn.
Materials Used
2 sweetcorns
1 sachet of agar-agar powder
600 ml thick coconut milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla powder
200 grams of sugar
As the main ingredient in this pudding dish, I suggest you choose the right corn whose seeds are full of perfectly, the level of sweetness and color produced by the corn will be perfect. I chose 2 pieces of corn for 1 sachet of jelly powder that I used, one fruit for juice and the other I boiled for pudding topping. Very simple and easy, the use of corn must be right, if too much this will affect the texture of your pudding.
Making Process
Step 1
Wash the sweet corn, and comb the seeds until finish then set aside first.
Step 2
Then blender the corn kernels, add enough coconut milk, blend until smooth.
Step 3
After in the blender, strain the corn so that the texture of the pudding is not rough with the dregs of the corn kernels.
Step 4
Then boil one corn in 500 ml of water, cook for about 18 minutes.
Step 5
Once cooked take the seeds only, set aside from the cob.
Step 6
Prepare the mold then put the boiled corn kernels into the mold.
Start Cooking
Step 1
Prepare sugar and one sachet of gelatin powder into the pan. Then add the sugar and mix until smooth.
Step 2
Next, add the filtered corn juice and then add the coconut milk.
Step 3
Then add just the tip of a teaspoon of vanilla powder.
Step 4
Now cook for about 15 minutes or until the pudding mixture boils
Step 5
Then put the cooked pudding mixture into the mold that has been filled with corn.
Step 6
Wait for it to cool, then put it in the refrigerator so that the pudding forms quickly.
Results
The taste of this pudding is very delicious, the texture is soft, and the sweetness is just right. You know the addition of coconut milk greatly affects the taste of your pudding, the taste of coconut milk will strengthen the taste of the pudding, this combination brings together the two flavors of sweet and creamy. I only finished this pudding for a moment, it is very suitable to eat when the pudding is still cold, especially when the weather is hot like now. Corn pudding is also very elegant if used as a dessert for dining events with your family or friends.
