Unusual Airplant Bloom

I started off my day with a post about gratitude today.
I took a walk in my garden and enjoyed the flowering plants.
There were the usual orchid flowers, gentle looking and beautiful.
But I also noted an unusual bloom.
One green airplant stalk had turned red and now was giving purple flowers.

It was a simple sight of Mother Natures beauty we often take for granted or ignore.
But today I was feeling grateful, so I enjoyed it, much much more.

It was not my only bloom today.
I saw several more.
But this made me smile because its rarity made it special.
Plus it reminded me how much new there is everyday, if we only take the time to look and think about them for a while.
How easily it made me smile and forget my stresses, for a while.

My eyes now open, found another and my gratitude multiplied.

I now look forward to seeing it bloom.
And bring a smile to my face every day this week.
