Last week was the baptism of my nephew. She was the daugjter of my cousin Ella and I was invited to attend the holy baptism and become a ninong.
Baptism (from the Greek noun βάπτισμα báptisma) is a Christian rite of admission and adoption, almost invariably with the use of water, into Christianity. It may be performed by sprinkling or pouring water on the head, or by immersing in water either partially or completely.
Us as guardian also were given candles and then we lighted it up as a symbol that we will always guide her through her journey in life.
After the ceremony in the church, We head back home to eat some of the foods that the family prepared. They have chicken lechon, pancit and also cake. They also have this banner to welcome the baby to the Christian world.
They alsl have this cake that is made of diapers for the baby. It is amazing and also new to us but it ia difinitely can help the family and the baby.
That is it guys. I just hope that my nephew will be a beautiful an kind person and I will do my best to guide her on her path and journey in life.
