The Dominican Republic is located in the American continent, in the central region, also called the Caribbean, on the island of Hispaniola, sharing territory with Haiti. In the year 1492, the island was colonized by the Spaniards, according to them "discovered", they were in charge of destroying the Tainos that ALREADY LIVED on the island. But don't worry, there are no hard feelings. On the contrary, we have adopted many of the customs and have forged our identity from their cultures.

At least 8,000 years ago, people had already started living on the islands and the coasts of Abu Dhabi (earlier known as "Mleih" or salt). They learned to use the resources from the Arabian Gulf for food and trade. The pearling industry was Abu Dhabi's main source of trade for many centuries, thanks to the abundant pearl beds of the Arabian Gulf. In 1939, Sheikh Shakhbut bin Sultan Al Nahyan signed the oil concession so that oil companies could begin explorations. However, these were put on hold due to the outbreak of World War II. In 1966, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan came into power. Known as "Father of the Nation", he built on the early achievements of his brother and he dedicated himself to the progress and development, and well-being of his people. He led the formation of the United Arab Emirates (7 Emirates)

I feel to have lived in a place where time seems not to pass, even the walls of the houses and streets reflect the intimacy of the colonial era of my country Venezuela. In this sector I learned about the meaning of traditions and customs, in the square I experienced multiple cultural activities of which I was also a protagonist with the nearby schools and conservatory of music of "Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe".
