Hola Hive cross culture! Community. Hoy quiero hablarles sobre la agradable sensación del encuentro con amigas. Aquí en Venezuela, las amigas usualmente nos encontramos, tomamos un café o un helado. Hablamos sobre muchas cosas y ninguna en específico y es que la diversidad de temas varía del estado de ánimo, la experiencia de cada una, de quien inicia la conversación… la verdad, es que los factores son infinitos.

El hilo de la conversación se extiende de tal manera que comenzamos muchos temas, pero ninguno finiquitamos y es que para qué lo vamos hacer, así tenemos la excusa perfecta para volver a reencontrarnos. Y nunca falta en esa tarde de amena conversación, cuadrar para una próxima reunión. Planificar esa próxima vez es como el abreboca, el sabor dulzón que nos queda, esa nueva oportunidad de pasar una maravillosa tarde en compañía de la familia que elegimos y en la que nos sentimos tan a gusto, que no queremos que el día termine.

And there we met.
Producto de la Cuarentena, llevábamos todo el año sin reunirnos. Mucho tiempo tratándose de mujeres y es que nosotras, las mujeres, necesitamos ese encuentro, el estar juntas, escucharnos y ser escuchadas. Así que este fin de semana llegó la excusa perfecta. Abrieron la entrada a los parques y la Orquesta de Rock Sinfónico Simón Bolívar se presentó en el Parque Los Caobos en Caracas. El llamado no se hizo esperar y 4 mosqueteras decidimos decir Si!!! Y allá nos encontramos.
We listened to rock, danced, laughed, talked, walked, enjoyed a delicious ice cream. Our eyes saw with amazed eyes every detail of the park, the sky, the trees, the people. Every taste in our mouths was not only savored, but was imprinted in our being, reminding us of the happiness experienced by our senses.
Escuchamos Rock, bailamos, reímos, hablamos, caminamos, disfrutamos un delicioso helado. Nuestros ojos vieron con ojos maravillados cada detalle del parque, del cielo, los árboles, las personas. Cada sabor en nuestras bocas no solo fue saboreado, sino que quedó impreso en nuestro ser, recordándonos la felicidad experimentada por nuestros sentidos.
As my friend Rosele told me, "we were happy and we knew it". We celebrated the happiness we felt at that moment and enjoyed it like a child tastes an ice cream.
