Colombian coffee ☕️ & cows 🐄 on our farm

Colombia is known for its coffee. Some will argue Cuban or Brazilian coffee is better or comparable, but none will deny its taste and power. (Interestingly, while learning how it’s made, on a tour in Colombia, I learned of its connection to Arabic coffee.

Still, it was surprising to be visiting the downtown area in a town near Medellin and find these beans out drying on the sidewalk (look, closely). Surprising to a foreigner, not to locals, of course.

Meantime, back on our farm, here are dreamy pictures of our healthy lady cows, grazing, against a backdrop of blue mountains.

Lovely cows with not a care in the world. Living a pastoral life. And coffee. Great stuff, Yahia:)

Good to hear from you, poet. Farm living is humbly and richly rewarding. Here’s a postcard from Colombia:

Hope life & literature are treating you, kindly, friend 🙏🏽✨

Thank you, Yahia. Homesteading is of increasing interest to me.Are you raising cattle for dairy or meat, both?

Dairy… for now :)

Yum ... cheese:)

Yes, we hope to make that! Best of luck with your homesteading goals.😇
